Description:

The Commercial Performance & Incentive Strategy Lead is a senior individual contributor role responsible for driving data-led commercial decision-making across planning, performance management, forecasting, and incentive design. The role partners closely with Marketing and Commercial Leadership to translate data, statistical models, and performance insights into clear recommendations that improve revenue outcomes and align rewards with strategic priorities.

This position serves as a functional lead and thought partner, with the next career progression into a manager role with direct report, expanding scope to team leadership and enterprise-wide commercial performance ownership.


What You'll Do


Commercial Planning & Performance Management

  • Lead revenue modelling, KPI breakdown and initiative-based revenue bridge planning
  • Translate strategic objectives into measurable commercial plans and execution guardrails
  • Build business cases with data modelling and risk assessment for commercial projects. Collaborate cross-functionally to define success metrics, KPIs and performance standards
  • Build and apply statistical and quantitative models (e.g., regression, segmentation, scenario analysis, sensitivity testing) to inform decision-making
  • Act as a trusted advisor to commercial teams on ad hoc analytical questions and performance deep dives

Reward & Incentive Strategy

  • Lead the design, evaluation, and restructuring of sales incentives and reward programs to align behavior with commercial strategy
  • Model rewards plan economics, pay-for-performance curves, thresholds, accelerators, and ROI
  • Partner with commercial leaders to balance competitiveness, motivation, and cost effectiveness

Revenue Forecasting

  • Own revenue forecasting models and processes, integrating historical trends, pipeline data, and forward-looking assumptions
  • Support leadership with accurate, timely forecasts and scenario-based outlooks to inform business decisions
  • Continuously refine forecasting methodologies based on performance deviations and market dynamics

Data Analytics & Insight Generation

  • Develop and maintain advanced analytical frameworks to assess revenue, productivity, business performance and pipeline health
  • Synthesize large, complex datasets into actionable insights and executive-ready narratives
  • Ensure analytical rigor, data integrity, and methodological consistency across commercial analyses
  • Support predictive analysis for commercial performance based on historical trends, revenue pipeline and external economic indicators

Ad Hoc Commercial Performance Support

  • Serve as the primary escalation point for complex performance analyses across the commercial organization
  • Rapidly respond to leadership and field requests with concise, data-driven insights
  • Enable data literacy and analytical thinking across commercial stakeholders

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Influence decisions without direct authority through credibility, insight, and clear communication
  • Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership and cross-functional forums

What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience in commercial strategy, performance management, sales effectiveness, analytics, or related roles
  • Strong background in data analytics and statistical modeling applied to business outcomes
  • Demonstrated experience evaluating incentives and reward structures
  • High proficiency with analytical tools (Excel, SQL, BI platforms, R/Python)
  • Ability to communicate complex analyses in a clear, compelling way to the stakeholders and leadership
  • 5+ years of experience

The anticipated salary range for this position starts at $95,000-120,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications. This role is eligible for a performance-based bonus based on individual and company performance.
