Job description

Job Summary


In this role, you will act as a trusted mortgage advisor, partnering with borrowers throughout the entire home financing journey—from the initial consultation through loan closing. By combining consultative sales techniques, mortgage industry knowledge, and a customer-first approach, you will deliver an exceptional client experience while meeting individual production and performance goals.

You'll have access to a company-provided database of existing and past clients, eliminating the need for cold prospecting. Your focus will be on building relationships, reconnecting with homeowners, and identifying mortgage solutions that align with their financial goals and needs.



Duties and Responsibilities


  • Build and strengthen relationships with company-provided past clients through outbound phone outreach.
  • Introduce yourself as each client's dedicated Loan Officer and trusted mortgage resource.
  • Conduct consultative conversations to understand homeowners' financial goals and recommend the best lending solutions.
  • Originate a variety of mortgage products, including:

1.      Cash-Out Refinance Loans

2.      Debt Consolidation Loans

3.      Home Equity Lines of Credit (HELOCs)

4.      Second Mortgage Loans

  • Take complete loan applications and confidently guide borrowers throughout the mortgage process.
  • Partner with Processing and Underwriting teams to ensure smooth, timely loan approvals.
  •  Manage each loan from application through closing while delivering an exceptional customer experience.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed client records within the CRM system.
  • Consistently identify new lending opportunities through outbound calling and follow-up activities.
  • Stay current on mortgage products, lending guidelines, and industry trends.
  • Manage and follow up on all inbound leads generated through SEO, website inquiries, and other marketing channels to maximize conversion rates, while identifying and utilizing qualified purchased leads to maintain a consistent sales pipeline and fill capacity during slower business periods.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 

Requirements and Expectations


  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Appropriate state licenses are required.
  •  Active Mortgage Loan Originator (LO) license.
  • CRM experience preferred (Total Expert or similar); willingness to learn required.
  • Strong phone sales and relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and goal oriented.
  • Ability to manage multiple clients and loans simultaneously.
  • Comfortable spending much of the workday making outbound calls and following up with prospective borrowers.
  • Excellent and effective presentation and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to quickly assess and process large amounts of data and use appropriate AU software technology.
