Job Summary

Responsible for supervising a team of inbound and/or outbound support associates. Ensures accurate product shipments are made to the customer promptly based on customer requirements and maintaining inventory and supplies by receiving, storing, and delivering items. Supervises the process for finished goods inventory and day-to-day operations of people and processes, following shop rules, policies, procedures, and work instructions.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities

  • Supervises shipping and receiving operations, manage associates, provide direction, and monitor performance.

  • Implements and maintains effective outbound shipping processes to ensure accurate and on-time delivery of orders.

  • Ensures incoming freight is tracked and warehoused appropriately. Monitors the unloading of all materials into the receiving area.

  • Maintains shipping and receiving records and documentation and resolve related issues such as damaged goods, delays, and discrepancies.

  • Coordinates product returns and repairs. Develops and monitors key performance metrics and prepare reports related to safety, waste, quality, and productivity.

  • Oversees the safe operation of warehouse equipment and power tools of assigned area. May be required to deliver employee training on operational processes, systems, tools, and equipment.

  • Collaborates with Quality Assurance team to address quality issues, implement corrective actions, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Monitors staffing, workload, and performance results to ensure that workload and performance outcomes meet business requirements.

  • Addresses and works to resolve customer complaints and quality issues promptly. Implements customer feedback to improve product quality and customer satisfaction.

Nature and Scope

  • Experience provides solutions.

  • Ensures that work is performed consistently with company policies and procedures.

  • Leads a group or team of support, craft, or lower level professional associates.

Work Environment

  • Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.

  • Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

  • This position is primarily on-site in Perris, CA with the possibility of up to 25% travel.

Education and Experience

  • Typically requires BS/BA in a related discipline.

  • Generally 5+ years of experience in a related field.

  • May require certification.

  • Advanced degree may offset less experience in some disciplines.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience leading shipping, receiving, warehouse, or distribution operations in a high-volume distribution center environment

  • Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control, transportation, and order fulfillment processes

  • Demonstrated success supervising, developing, and coaching teams to achieve safety, quality, productivity, and service goals

  • Experience using warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP platforms, and operational reporting tools to monitor performance and drive decision-making

  • Ability to analyze operational metrics, identify process improvement opportunities, and implement corrective actions to improve efficiency and accuracy

  • Strong communication and training skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across operations, quality, transportation, and customer-facing teams

  • Experience working in a non-climate-controlled warehouse environment and managing shifting priorities in a fast-paced operation

  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) proficiency is a plus
