  • Coordinate with the Buying Team: Confirm that all expected product is received, accounted for, and inspected for quality and condition. Communicate discrepancies, shortages, and damage issues clearly and quickly.
  • Partner with Operations: Relay status updates on what has been received and is ready for the next step, what is on hold for issues, what is outstanding, and what needs to be prioritized for specific product drops on the Arena Club site.
  • Coordinate with Finance: Partner with the Finance team on vendor payments, invoice reconciliation, and resolving billing discrepancies tied to inbound shipments.ย
  • Manage Vendor Relationships: Serve as the primary point of contact for shipping and receiving issues, claims, and questions with carriers and outside vendors.
  • Build and Improve Processes: Establish, document, and refine standard operating procedures for receiving across all product categories. Identify bottlenecks and implement improvements that increase accuracy and throughput.
  • Drive Accountability: Ensure receiving tasks are completed accurately and on time, with clear ownership so no product or issue falls through the cracks.
  • Report on Performance: Provide leadership with regular updates on inbound volume, exceptions, vendor performance, and team productivity.
What We're Looking For
  • ย Leadership Experience: Previous experience managing a team, with a track record of developing people and increasing productivity through strong leadership.
  • Logistics and Warehouse Background: Prior experience in shipping, logistics, warehouse operations, and/or inventory management is required.
  • Multi-Product Oversight: Comfort and confidence overseeing receiving across multiple product lines with different handling requirements.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with multiple departments, both in person and remotely.
  • Process Builder: Experience building a department or function from the ground up and creating scalable processes is a strong plus.
  • Organized and Detail-Oriented: Able to manage competing priorities, track open items, and follow through to resolution.
  • Calm Under Pressure: Comfortable navigating ambiguity and shifting priorities in a fast-paced startup environment.
  • Tech Comfortable: Proficient with Google Workspace (Sheets, Docs, email) and able to learn new internal systems quickly.
  • Background Check: Must be able to pass a thorough background check.

  • Disability and Life Insurance
  • Vacation and Sick Time
  • Company matched 401(k) plan
