This role is logistics-heavy (primary focus)—managing inbound/outbound freight, working with brokers/3PLs, and driving cost savings and efficiency.

In addition, this position will support sales and operations, including assisting with customer quotes, pricing, and customer follow-up.

  • Work directly with freight brokers, carriers, and 3PL partners
  • Negotiate rates and manage carrier relationships
  • Optimize load planning to maximize efficiency and reduce cost
  • Own freight P&L, cost control, and margin improvement
  • Coordinate shipments with production, customers, and dealers
  • Support sales and operations with quoting, pricing, and customer follow-up
  • Track shipments and resolve delays or issues proactively
  • Manage shipping documentation and logistics processes
  • Evaluate lanes, carriers, and routing strategies

Qualifications

  • 3–7+ years of experience in logistics, transportation, or freight brokerage.
  • Experience working with freight brokers / 3PLs
  • Strong experience with flatbed and standard freight
  • Proven ability to manage freight costs, margins, and load planning
  • Ability to support sales/operations functions (quoting, customer interaction)
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with ERP, TMS, or logistics systems preferred

Why This Role Stands Out

  • Own and control all freight operations
  • Direct exposure to VP of Operations and leadership team
  • Blend of logistics + operations + customer-facing responsibilities
  • Opportunity to grow within a stable, expanding manufacturing company
  • Bonus Opportunities
