This is an excellent opportunity to join a large, established group delivering advanced cardiac care across a multi-state region.About the Position-Full-time employed position-Non-structural interventional cardiology focus-Join an established and stable cardiovascular group-Clinic based in Abingdon with procedures at a modern cath lab-Collaborative, multidisciplinary cardiovascular teamPractice Highlights-Part of a cardiovascular institute with 40+ cardiologists and 35+ advanced practice providers-Comprehensive service line including interventional, non-invasive, electrophysiology, vascular, and cardiothoracic surgery-State-of-the-art cath lab with advanced cardiac support devices-Only 24/7 STEMI service in Southwest Virginia (~80 STEMIs annually)-On-site CHF clinic-Strong referral network with continued market growthProcedural Volume & Capabilities-Approximately 65 caths per month (40 diagnostic / 25 interventional)-Permanent pacemaker and ICD insertions-Advanced devices including Laser, Volcano, EKOS, CardioMEMS, Penumbra, IABP, and Impella-Advanced imaging with 128-slice CT, calcium scoring, and coronary CTA-Access to CABG services through partner facility nearbySupport and Team Structure-Work alongside invasive and interventional cardiologists-3 experienced advanced practice providers-Excellent nursing and technical staff-Additional system-wide support availableHospital Overview-116-bed modern medical facility-24-hour interventional cardiology program-Comprehensive services including ICU, imaging, emergency care, and surgical services-Regional cancer center with full oncology services-Residency programs in family medicine and internal medicine-LEED and Energy Star-certified facilityQualifications-Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiology with Interventional training-Eligible for medical licensure in VirginiaVisa Support-Accepts J1 visa candidatesCompensation and Benefits-Competitive salary with productivity bonus-Generous sign-on bonus-Relocation assistance-Student loan assistance (negotiable)-Comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, and vision-PTO and CME allowanceAbout AbingdonAbingdon is a historic town in the Virginia Highlands offering a strong quality of life with access to outdoor recreation and cultural amenities.-Excellent schools and family-friendly community-Arts and culture including the Barter Theatre and local festivals-Outdoor activities such as hiking, biking, fishing, and golf-Access to the Virginia Creeper Trail and South Holston River-Short drive to Roanoke, Asheville, Knoxville, and Nashville-Charming downtown with local restaurants and community events
