Job description

General Superintendent — Lead the Arena Project That Will Define Reno

Reno, NV | Full-Time | $175,000 – $225,000+ DOE | Relocation assistance available

The Opportunity

Once in a career, a project comes along that a whole city will watch rise. Our client — one of the most respected heavy commercial general contractors in the Western U.S., with a portfolio spanning hospitality, gaming, entertainment, healthcare, aviation, and public works — is hiring a General Superintendent to lead field operations on a landmark arena in Reno. You'll be the senior field leader: safety, quality, schedule, and coordination across every phase, from sitework to opening night.

Why This One Stands Out

  • Signature project: An arena that will host major events and anchor the region for decades
  • Top-of-market package: $175K–$225K+ with relocation assistance and comprehensive benefits
  • Executive visibility: Direct collaboration with project executives, ownership, and design leadership
  • Career stability: A respected builder with a deep backlog — and a fast hiring process for the right candidate

What You'll Do

  • Serve as senior field leader for all onsite construction activities
  • Direct Superintendents, Assistant Superintendents, Field Engineers, and trade partners
  • Develop and maintain schedules, sequencing plans, and site logistics strategies
  • Oversee all phases from sitework through completion; lead daily operations, planning meetings, and progress reviews
  • Coordinate structural, architectural, MEP, and specialty trades; resolve field issues before they hit schedule or budget
  • Champion site-wide safety culture and OSHA compliance; lead QC initiatives and inspections
  • Manage critical path activities, recovery plans, deliveries, equipment logistics, and workforce planning
  • Maintain strong relationships with ownership, design teams, and stakeholders; mentor and develop field personnel

What You'll Bring

  • 10+ years of Superintendent experience in commercial construction
  • 5+ years leading large-scale projects as a Lead or General Superintendent
  • Proven delivery of arena, stadium, hospitality, casino, convention center, airport, healthcare, or similarly complex projects
  • $100M+ project experience strongly preferred
  • Deep command of sequencing, logistics, scheduling, and field operations
  • Ability to lead large teams and multiple Superintendents
  • Proficiency with scheduling software and project management technology
  • Stable work history with reputable GCs preferred
