Job description

Key Responsibilities
Human Resources Operations
  • Provide daily HR support to hourly and salaried employees across departments and shifts.
  • Ensure consistent application of company policies, procedures, and employment practices.
  • Maintain employee records, HR documentation, and confidentiality standards.
  • Support payroll coordination, employee transactions, and HRIS updates.

Employee Relations & Leadership Support
  • Coach supervisors and managers on attendance, discipline, performance management, investigations, documentation, and conflict resolution.
  • Conduct prompt, fair, and thorough employee relations investigations.
  • Build trust and credibility through visible floor presence and responsive support.
  • Support a culture of accountability, communication, and respect.

Recruiting & Workforce Development
  • Lead full-cycle recruiting for hourly, skilled trades, and salaried positions.
  • Partner with hiring managers on workforce planning and staffing priorities.
  • Coordinate onboarding, orientation, and retention initiatives.
  • Build external recruiting pipelines with schools, trade programs, and community partners.

Benefits & Leave Administration
  • Assist employees with benefits questions, enrollments, and life event changes.
  • Support open enrollment activities and employee education.
  • Coordinate leave administration including FMLA, ADA, workers' compensation, and related processes.

Continuous Improvement & Future Leadership Development
  • Analyze turnover, attendance, hiring, and retention trends.
  • Recommend process improvements and practical HR solutions.
  • Participate in special projects involving engagement, training, succession planning, and workforce strategy.
  • Gradually assume expanded responsibilities aligned with long-term leadership development.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum 5-7 years progressive Human Resources experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Bilingual English / Spanish strongly preferred.
  • Experience in recruiting, employee relations, coaching leaders, benefits administration, and compliance.
  • Strong working knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
  • Proven ability to build relationships with hourly employees, supervisors, and leadership teams.
  • Strong judgment, professionalism, and confidentiality.
