Job description

The HR Manager will be responsible for overseeing HR operations at their assigned site, ensuring alignment with the company's strategic goals and compliance with all relevant regulations. This position reports directly to the Sr. HR Manager.
Essential Job Duties

  • Responsible for the "People Value Stream" which includes recruiting, engaging, developing, and inspiring employee owners with a focus on employee stability.
  • Responsible for driving process improvement within the HR processes using the problem-solving principles of the Columbia Way and in alignment with corporate HR standardization goals.
  • Creates and nurtures strong working relationships with all Employee groups.
  • Provide guidance and support to HR team within their location, auditing to ensure consistency and best practice application.

  • Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations in all locations.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development within the location HR team.
  • Proactive and effective communication with employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to effectively manage competing priorities and stressful situations.
  • Other duties and projects assigned to meet CFP's Mission and Purpose.

Qualifications:
  • 4-year degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of HR experience; preferably in manufacturing.
  • SHRM-SCP, SHRM-CP or equivalent certification.
  • Strong knowledge of labor laws and regulations.
  • Excellent communication, leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead change and influence organizational culture.
  • Ability to travel to different locations as needed.

Work Environment:
  • This role primarily operates in an office setting with moderate exposure to noise, fumes, airborne particles and varying temperatures while on the plant floor.
