Position Summary:
The Hi-Lo Operator III is responsible for safely operating a Hi-Lo to transport, replenish, and organize inventory throughout warehouse operations. This role supports inventory movement between reserve storage and primary picking locations to ensure product availability, inventory accuracy, and operational efficiency.
The Hi-Lo Operator III works primarily within freezer operations and plays a critical role in supporting product availability, operational efficiency, and food safety standards through safe equipment operation and effective inventory management.
Responsibilities:
Safely operate certified material handling equipment within freezer storage environments to transport, replenish, and organize inventory.
Perform replenishment activities between reserve and prime pick locations while maintaining product integrity and inventory accuracy.
Ensure products are handled and stored in accordance with cold-chain requirements and food safety standards.
Monitor freezer inventory locations and support efficient product flow within temperature-controlled storage areas.
Properly utilize freezer PPE and comply with all freezer safety procedures and operating requirements.
Support inventory counts, audits, slotting changes, and inventory organization initiatives within freezer operations.
Identify and report freezer-related operational concerns including product damage, temperature concerns, equipment issues, and inventory discrepancies.
Qualifications:
Prior warehouse, distribution, logistics, or material handling experience preferred.
Experience operating powered industrial equipment preferred.
Internally certified for one level of reach using Hi-Lo.
Ability to work in freezer temperatures for extended periods while wearing required freezer PPE.
Ability to obtain and maintain company certification for material handling equipment operation.
Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and move throughout warehouse operational areas for extended periods of time.
Ability to safely operate powered industrial equipment for extended periods of time.
Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull products and materials within company-established guidelines, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Ability to work in refrigerated, freezer, wet, or varying warehouse temperature environments.
Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and comply with workplace safety requirements.

Work Environment:
This position operates within warehouse, production, and distribution environments that may include refrigerated, freezer, wet, and fast-paced operational conditions.
