Job Title: Delivery Driver – City Bakery

Location: City Bakery, Fletcher, NC

Reports To: Production Manager, Delivery Manager

Shifts: Early mornings. PT or FT.

Requires: Clean, valid NC drivers license

At City Bakery, we take pride in serving our community fresh, craft bread. Our bakery is dedicated to producing outstanding sourdough based breads with care and a commitment to quality. We use quality ingredients, embracing time-honored baking techniques, and strive to deliver the best bread to our community.

The Role:

As a Delivery Driver, you will play an integral role in creating the heart and soul of our bakery: delivering great craft bread. This position is perfect for someone who loves to work independently, but is also passionate about contributing to a collaborative and creative environment. You’ll work alongside our talented delivery team to ensure that each loaf, baguette, and roll gets delivered in a safe, friendly, timely manner.

Key Responsibilities and Requirements:

Assists packager with organizing deliveries

Loads van with product according to delivery schedule

Operates delivery vehicles in a safe and courteous manner at all times

Transports products to our cafes and assists with product placement to ensure smooth opening process

Delivers product to wholesale customers adhering to delivery schedule and desired delivery time frame

Collects signed invoices and payments from customers

Returns all bakery trays and paperwork at end of shift

Completes all cleaning sidework

Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds

Desired Skills amp; Experience:

Experience: Previous experience in a bakery or other food production environment is welcome, but we are happy to train the right candidate

Team-Oriented: Ability to work well with others in a fast-paced, high-energy environment
