Job description


Acosta Group is seeking a Communications Specialist to support strategic communications across internal and external channels. In this role, you will partner with the Communications team, business leaders, and cross-functional stakeholders to create clear, engaging, and brand-aligned content that helps associates and audiences understand key initiatives, connect with the company's priorities, and take meaningful action.
Responsibilities
What You'll Do
  • Develop and execute strategic communication plans that support business initiatives, change management efforts, and special projects.
  • Write, edit, and review content to ensure accuracy, clarity, consistency, and alignment with established brand and style guidelines.
  • Create communications that build awareness, foster understanding, and encourage associates and stakeholders to take appropriate action.
  • Support communications for sensitive, confidential, or high-visibility topics with professionalism, discretion, and attention to detail.
  • Develop content for internal and external communication channels, including associate communications, leadership messaging, newsletters, digital content, and related materials.
  • Manage and produce the bi-weekly leadership newsletter, coordinating content, timelines, reviews, and distribution.
  • Provide communications guidance and counsel to stakeholders across the organization.
  • Support the editorial planning process, including the creation and maintenance of an annual content calendar.
  • Measure communication effectiveness and use insights to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Support department budget activities, including invoice tracking and related administrative tasks.
  • Partner with external communications teams as needed to support integrated communications.

Qualifications
  • What You'll Bring:
  • Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, public relations, integrated communications, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
  • 2+ years of experience in communications, corporate communications, public relations, or a related field.
  • Experience developing communications for audiences across multiple locations or business groups.
  • Strong writing, editing, proofreading, and storytelling skills with the ability to adapt tone and message by audience and channel.
  • Understanding of professional communications standards, brand voice, style guides, and corporate communication best practices.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently as a proactive self-starter.
  • Comfort working through ambiguity and partnering with stakeholders across departments.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; SharePoint experience preferred.
