Job description

Company Description

A platform for underwater coral reef data collection and analysis.

Job Description

Job Description

Are you a graphic designer who takes rough concepts and makes them beautiful? We're seeking a talented, organized designer to join a mission-driven team on a contract basis, with an immediate need for event and booth design support.

About the Role

  • Hourly Rate: $55/hour
  • Contract Duration: monthly, likely through August to start with potential to extend (this is a replacement role; the Rosie who filled this role previously got an FTJ, so they could no longer support this work, and we wish them well!  You would be taking over their existing contract structured through August but with the high likelihood of extension)
  • Location: Remote
  • Monthly hours: up to 50/month (can be worked on a flexible basis as long as deadlines are met and comms with client team are strong)
  • Start date: ASAP; ability to start quickly is a major plus (aiming for 1st week of August)

Company Description

We are a cutting-edge platform dedicated to the collection and analysis of underwater coral reef data. Our mission is to empower scientists, policymakers, and the public with the insights needed to protect and restore these critical marine ecosystems.

Job Description

As our Graphic Designer, you'll shape how we show up visually: at conferences and events, on social media, and across our public-facing materials. Here's the good news: you don't need a marine science background. Our team has deep scientific expertise and will hand you the technical content, often already mocked up. Your job is to make it polished, on-brand, and beautiful.

Scope of Support:

    • Infographics & Visual Assets:

      • Transform technical content and rough mock-ups from our team into clear, compelling infographics and visuals for diverse audiences, from scientists to policymakers to the general public.
      • Create social media visuals that translate marine health data into engaging, shareable graphics.
    • Brand Consistency & Layout Design:
      • Design brand-compliant templates that empower our global team to maintain visual consistency.
      • Convert content-heavy documentation into high-impact visual formats: email designs, one-pagers, presentation decks, posters, and datasheets.
    • Event & Booth Design:
      • Design conference booth materials, event graphics, and supporting print and digital assets.

    Qualifications

    • Proven experience building infographics and event/print materials
    • Strong eye for polish: your portfolio shows clean, beautiful, brand-consistent work
    • Demonstrated ability to tailor graphics for diverse audiences
    • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite; Figma experience a plus
    • Highly organized with files and asset management; comfortable working within brand guidelines and established systems (we use Trello)
    • Able to work efficiently with quick turnarounds

Please note: This role is focused on graphic design; no video or motion work is required.

    Additional Information:
    This is a W2 role.
