Reconditioning Manager / Internal Service Advisor - Hyundai of Union County (Monroe, NC)

Hyundai of Union County

Monroe, NC โ€ข On-site

Full-time

Medical, Retirement, PTO

Re-posted 20 days ago

Job description

Hyundai of Union County is one of the fastest-growing stores in the Charlotte metro, and we're looking for someone to take full ownership of our used vehicle reconditioning process. This is not a seat-warmer job. The person we hire will be measured on one number above all others: how fast we turn an acquired vehicle into a frontline-ready, sellable unit.

Our target is under 5 days from acquisition to frontline. If you've hit numbers like that before โ€” or you're the kind of person who gets obsessed with finding and killing the bottleneck โ€” we want to talk to you.

What you'll own:

  • The entire recon pipeline from the moment a unit is acquired until it's photo-ready and on the lot
  • Writing and managing all internal and used car ROs
  • Driving accountability across service, parts, and detail/vendors to keep cars moving โ€” you'll be the person who refuses to let a unit sit
  • Tracking turn time daily, identifying where vehicles get stuck, and fixing the process (not just reporting on it)
  • Coordinating sublet and vendor work to hit deadlines, not "whenever they get to it"
  • Keeping me (the GM) informed with a clear, no-surprises picture of where every unit stands

What we're looking for:

  • Someone driven, organized, and allergic to bottlenecks
  • Dealership service or recon experience strongly preferred
  • Comfort with a DMS (we run CDK) and recon tracking tools
  • The backbone to hold technicians, parts, and outside vendors accountable without being a jerk about it
  • A bias for ownership โ€” you see a slow process and fix it instead of waiting to be told

What you'll get:

  • A real seat with real authority over a process that directly drives the store's profitability
  • A GM who will back you, give you the tools, and get out of your way
  • $50,000โ€“$90,000 depending on experience, plus performance bonuses
  • [Benefits โ€” health, PTO, 401k, etc.]

If you've ever watched cars rot in a recon line and thought "I could fix this in a week," send your resume to cyoung@hyundaiofunioncounty.com.
