Job description

Summary:
The Assistant Impound Manager oversees daily operations for vehicle impound impounding, ensuring compliance with state and local regulations regarding impounded vehicles. This includes managing staff, handling documentation, and working with law enforcement, the public, and towing companies.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Service:
  • Assist vehicle owners with reclaiming their vehicles.
  • Explain procedures, fees, and required documentation.
  • Resolve disputes and handle customer complaints professionally.
  • Compile contracts with Property Owners
Compliance amp; Reporting:
  • Ensure compliance with Kentucky state laws and local ordinances.
  • Maintain records for legal and auditing purposes.
  • Work with law enforcement and city officials on investigations.
Staff Management:
  • Train and supervise impound drivers.
  • Schedule shifts and assign tasks for impound drivers.
  • Ensure safety protocols are followed.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED (college degree preferred).
  • Experience in vehicle towing, logistics, or public administration.
  • Knowledge of Kentucky impound and vehicle code laws.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to handle stressful or confrontational situations.
  • Familiarity with inventory and recordkeeping systems.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working with or for a law enforcement agency.
  • Proficiency in software such as impound management systems (e.g., AutoReturn, Towbook).
