Job description

Customer Enablement Executive
About the Role
We are seeking a Customer Enablement Executive to join our Payroll Compliance Services team. In this role, you will ensure seamless payroll tax compliance for our Service Bureau Organization (SBO) clients, supporting them from onboarding through year-end reporting.
You will collaborate closely with Sales, Implementation, and Client teams to set up client systems, manage payroll tax processes, resolve compliance issues, and ensure accurate filings and reconciliations. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, proactive, and knowledgeable in payroll tax regulations across federal, state, and local jurisdictions.
What You'll Do
  • Partner with Sales and Implementation teams to onboard new clients and ensure a smooth transition into Payroll Compliance Services
  • Configure Office and Affiliates modules within SBO databases for accurate client setup and integration
  • Support onboarding requirements for third-party payment processors (e.g., NatPay, KotaPay)
  • Participate in pre-quarter and year-end readiness meetings with clients
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for payroll tax compliance and system-related inquiries
  • Prepare and support federal, state, and local payroll tax filings
  • Assist with year-end reporting, including W-2 and 1099 processing
  • Research and resolve payroll tax discrepancies, notices, and client issues, escalating when necessary
  • Support reconciliation of tax payments and impound balances
  • Maintain and update Power of Attorney (POA) documentation per state requirements
  • Assist with generating and managing Agent ID logins for state tax systems

What We're Looking For
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 1-3+ years of experience in payroll, payroll tax, compliance services, or client-facing support
  • Basic understanding of federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and payroll systems (Apex preferred)
  • Ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Nice to Have
  • Experience working with Service Bureau Organizations (SBOs) or similar client service models
  • Familiarity with payroll tax filing platforms and third-party processors
