Position Summary

The Import Buyer is responsible for sourcing, costing, and executing product purchasing strategies across cookware, bakeware, cutlery, and kitchen tools. This role works closely with overseas suppliers and internal teams to deliver quality products on time and at competitive cost.

Key Responsibilities

  • Source and develop housewares products with overseas factories (India and Southeast Asia)
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and production timelines with manufacturing partners
  • Manage assigned product categories and purchasing projects from concept through shipment
  • Align product selection with U.S. retail customer requirements and deadlines
  • Collaborate with Creative, Marketing, Sales, and overseas teams on product development and assortment planning
  • Monitor supplier performance, costs, and delivery schedules
  • Maintain accurate purchasing and product data in company systems

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience
  • 1-3 years of buying/purchasing experience in consumer goods or housewares (cookware, bakeware, cutlery, kitchen gadgets, or related consumer goods )
  • Experience sourcing from India and/or Southeast Asia
  • Strong negotiation and vendor management skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft 365
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills across global teams
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

Compensation & Benefits

  • Pay range: $50,000 - $60,000 annually (based on experience, skills, and qualifications)
