Job description

The Project Manager, Implementation Project Team will support the implementation and coordination of student health insurance plans for colleges and universities, working closely with internal teams and school administrators to ensure successful plan launches and renewals. The Project Manager will be responsible for the effective project management of implementing process solutions of all levels of complexity and ensuring adherence to client requirements and expectations.
Academic HealthPlans will rely on this individual to plan, direct, and coordinate staff and activities for implementation and re-installation of new and existing clients as well as special project requests from clients to ensure goals and objectives are accomplished.
Your Impact
  • Prepare project documentation, including project updates, meeting notes and agendas.
  • Develop and help manage client relationships and ensure an excellent experience with implementations, working to resolve issues quickly and always having the client perspective.
  • Tracking and executing post-implementation season improvements and initiatives
  • Manage a portfolio of new and renewing client implementation projects, ensuring accurate tracking, timely updates and complete documentation using project management tools.
  • Ensure compliance with standard operating procedures, quality guidelines, and timelines, and providing feedback on potential process enhancements.
  • Communicate with both internal and external customers and stakeholders to provide updates and escalate issues as needed

Successful Candidate Will Have
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 3-5 years of project management experience, with client-facing experience being highly desirable
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Strong presentation skills, including the ability to effectively lead meetings
  • Comfortability working with cross-functional teams and managing multiple tasks
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with project management tools such as Smartsheet
  • Proactive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Attention to detail and ability to work independently with supervision
