Role description:
We are seeking a Project Manager to join the Mobility Transit Technologies and Operations Team. In this role, you will be working on and leading transit technology and operations projects. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading projects and staff in completed projects related to the application of technology to improve the experience of daily travelers and operational efficiencies for transit agencies across the US. We work with municipal and regional transit agencies to plan, design, and implement new systems for real-time traveler information, transit technology, energy transition and fleet electrification, and more. We are looking for a candidate with leadership skills who is motivated, can think independently, can lead projects and direct staff in completing assignments, can work directly with clients, and is willing to take initiative and ownership of deliverables.
As part of our Program and Project Management team, you will work as part of the leadership team to deliver projects, manage client relationships, deliver our strategic plan and build and expand business opportunities in our US Intelligence practice. With your energy, agility and a keen eye for detail, you'll deliver transformational outcomes for multiple clients every day.
This role sits within the Global Mobility Business Area. We partner with our clients across the globe to design thriving and connected cities and communities that enable opportunity for all and keep the world moving. Climate change, urbanization and digitization trends are requiring today's mobility projects and systems to address an evolving set of demands from the world's growing population. We design connected, sustainable solutions that integrate existing infrastructure with new technologies, and optimize the mobility of people and goods.
Role accountabilities:
  • Act as the primary contact between the client and our team and manage client relationships
  • Understand client needs and issues, and relate those to project scope and delivery
  • Track milestones, deliverables, change requests, and client issues to ensure client satisfaction
  • Lead client progress meetings and communicate changes, milestones reached, and overall project status
  • Coach and mentor transit technologies professionals and support them in their career growth and technical development
  • Apply and lead staff at all levels in the design, engineering, implementation, and testing of transit technology projects
  • Support change management and business process transformation related to the implementation of new technologies
  • Apply emerging and innovative technologies and solutions to projects and recommend these solutions to clients
  • Prepare and present materials at client meetings
  • Review contractor proposals and design documentation to ensure compliance with standard and special provisions
  • Support development of schedules and cost estimates
  • Attend and contribute to team meetings
  • Maintain existing client relationships and participate in the process of acquiring new projects
  • Participate and support business development including identifying opportunities, proposals and client meetings and interviews

Qualifications & Experience:
  • Professional Engineering designation and/or PMP certification is preferred
  • Degree from an accredited University in Engineering with a focus on Transportation and Transit is preferred, electrical and civil engineers are also encouraged to apply
  • Candidate must have 7+ years of professional experience, the field of Transit and Transportation Technologies is preferred
  • Candidates must have excellent analytical skills demonstrable through previous work experience
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts to a non-technical audience demonstrable through previous work experience

We offer nine paid holidays and 15 days PTO that accrue per year. The salary range for this position is $105,494 - $158,242. Actual salaries will vary and are based on several factors, such as experience, education, budget, internal equity, project and location.
