Valor Environmental is the largest full-service environmental services company in the United States. Valor's services include erosion control, land services, street sweeping, and site maintenance nationwide. Valor provides cost-effective and need-based solutions to residential, commercial, and government clients across 20 major U.S. markets. Led by industry veterans, Valor Environmental supports clients' compliance with both external and internal standards from the first phase of a new development to the last quality control inspection.
Job Responsibilities
1. Lead, hire, develop, and manage a crew of Environmental Field Services Specialists and Field Quality Managers to maintain a high-performing, high-integrity team.
2. Promote and reinforce Valor Environmental culture, including professionalism, communication, work ethic, and safety standards.
3. Address performance concerns and ensure accountability across the team.
4. Serve as primary client contact for services including erosion control, BMP installation, maintenance, sweeping, and land services.
5. Build strong client relationships through regular engagement, site visits, and responsiveness to needs.
6. Proactively assess client needs, ensure satisfaction, resolve issues quickly, and identify opportunities for additional services and market growth.
7. Maintain market visibility and open doors for new business opportunities.
8. Oversee daily field operations to ensure timely, accurate, and high-quality service.
9. Coordinate with the Field Operations Coordinator and Operations teams to plan jobs, determine crew size, and schedule and complete work efficiently.
10. Conduct regular site visits, quality checks, and ensure adherence to all operational processes and protocols.
11. Operate company vehicles and equipment safely and responsibly.
12. Ensure all crew work meets Valor Environmental quality standards and client expectations.
13. Enforce safety protocols, identify job site hazards, and correct unsafe behaviors on job sites.
14. Maintain job site efficiency, safety, and professional conduct at all times.
15. Manage market performance, including growth, profitability, and cost control.
16. Oversee and control costs related to labor, overtime, equipment, fuel, vehicles, tools, and inventory for the market.
17. Ensure proper use and maintenance of materials, equipment, and assets to prevent waste or loss.
18. Maintain accurate and timely data entry into internal systems.
19. Coordinate regularly with the Operations team to review billing, accounts receivable, and operational updates.
20. Collaborate closely with the Operations team to improve efficiencies, safety, and asset utilization.
21. Maintain facilities and equipment/material storage yard so they are well organized, clean, and free from debris and hazardous conditions.
22. Demonstrate strong time management and organizational skills.
23. Additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
1. Minimum of one year of leadership experience.
2. AA/AS degree or equivalent experience.
3. Physically capable of working outdoors full-time.
4. 1 - 3 years of experience/involvement within the construction industry.
5. Must have a valid Driver's License and be approved to be on company driving insurance.
6. Basic computer knowledge.
7. Able to illustrate organization, leadership, and communication skills.
8. Dependable transportation.
9. Must have a good command of the English language (written and spoken).
10. Knowledge of erosion control is a plus.
