Position Summary

The Technical Project Manager is accountable for managing site-based projects throughout the software development lifecycle. This role partners closely with the Lottery, site associates, cross-functional Scientific Games stakeholders, and third-party vendors to ensure successful delivery of a portfolio of technical initiatives. The Technical Project Manager provides end-to-end project oversight, including planning, execution, prioritization, risk management, and transparent status reporting.

Job Duties / Key Accountabilities

  • Manage multiple site projects and portfolio-level initiatives through the full software development lifecycle.
  • Serve as a primary point of coordination between the Lottery, site teams, internal SG stakeholders, and third-party partners.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, dependencies, and deliverables.
  • Oversee portfolio prioritization to ensure alignment with business objectives and customer commitments.
  • Proactively identify, assess, and manage project risks, issues, and dependencies; develop and execute mitigation plans.
  • Provide regular project and portfolio status reporting, including timelines, risks, issues, and resource impacts.
  • Facilitate project governance, working sessions, and stakeholder communications.
  • Ensure adherence to SG project management standards, processes, and best practices.
  • Support continuous improvement of project delivery processes and tools.

Qualifications / Skills / Knowledge

Required

  • Minimum bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience
  • 5 + years of PM experience, with at least 2 years in leading large-scale customer implementation projects
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in technical project management, preferably within software development or technology-driven environments.
  • Demonstrated experience managing multiple projects and portfolios simultaneously.
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid).
  • Proven ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, external customers, and third-party vendors.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience with change management and scope control
  • Understanding of release planning and deployment coordination
  • Metrics-driven approach (milestones, burn-up/down, delivery health)

Desired

  • PMP certification is strongly preferred (or equivalent project management certification).
  • Experience working in regulated or customer-facing environments (e.g., lottery, gaming, or similar industries)
