The Senior BIM Manager leads the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of BIM processes across all architectural projects, providing strategic oversight of standards, digital workflows, and coordination to ensure consistent, efficient, and high-quality delivery aligned with industry, client, and builder requirements. Working closely with internal teams and external consultants, this role supports multidisciplinary coordination, model integration, and data management throughout all project phases, while overseeing BIM software systems, QA/QC processes, and emerging technologies such as AI-driven tools. As a key technical leader, the Senior BIM Manager coaches the staff, promotes best practices, and drives innovation in digital delivery, contributing to the advancement of the firm's BIM capabilities and overall project performance.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Oversee compliance with BIM standards across the department, providing guidance and support to team members to ensure proper use of BIM tools, workflows, and best practices
  • Develop, implement, and maintain BIM standards, templates, workflows, and BIM Execution Plans (BEPs), ensuring alignment with industry standards and client/builder standards and requirements
  • Lead BIM implementation across multiple projects, ensuring consistency in model setup, data structure, coordination processes, and deliverables
  • Lead multidisciplinary coordination, including clash detection, issue tracking, and resolution between architectural and consultant models
  • Conduct regular model audits and QA/QC reviews to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to BIM standards
  • Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and structured training to team members; Assign, review, and evaluate BIM-related work and mentor team members
  • Maintain and develop BIM standards manuals, templates, content libraries, and training materials
  • Research, evaluate, and implement emerging technologies, including AI-driven toolsStay informed on best practices for use of Revit in Architecture,
  • AutoCAD, BIM and task management software Oversee BIM software systems, including implementation, maintenance, optimization, and troubleshooting
  • Establish and enforce project filing, data management, and coordination practices across Autodesk Forma, SharePoint, and similar platforms
  • Support advanced modeling and integration of consultant data where required
  • Monitor BIM software usage, licensing, and associated costs for budgeting and planning
  • Drawing Revit models from 2d models of consultants if required
  • Other duties as required
Requirements
  • Degree in Architecture or relevant field
  • 10+ years proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, Autodesk Dynamo with efficient use of Autodesk Forma or equivalent platform
  • 5+ years of experience in BIM management role
  • Considerable knowledge of modern building construction methods and materials and of the preparation of specifications.
  • Considerable knowledge of the terminology, methods, practices, and techniques of architectural drafting.
  • Knowledge of the principles and methods of surveying and inspecting sites and buildings, preparatory to planning and designing.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with the team
  • Skill in designing alterations to buildings and structures and in preparing accurate drawings and specifications.
  • Member of OAA preferred.
