Senior IT Manager - Manufacturing Operations
A growing multi-site industrial manufacturer is seeking a Senior IT Manager to oversee IT operations, cybersecurity, systems infrastructure, and technology strategy across multiple facilities. This role combines hands-on technical leadership with strategic planning to support operational growth, improve system performance, and strengthen security in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
This opportunity is ideal for an experienced IT professional who enjoys balancing infrastructure management, cybersecurity, ERP systems, vendor relationships, and day-to-day technical support while helping an organization scale for future growth.
Responsibilities
- IT Operations & Infrastructure
- Oversee daily IT operations, including networks, servers, systems, and end-user support across multiple facilities.
- Ensure system uptime, reliability, and performance while troubleshooting technical issues.
- Manage hardware and software lifecycles, including purchasing, deployment, upgrades, and maintenance.
- Support and maintain ERP, HRIS, and other business-critical systems.
Cybersecurity & Systems Management
- Develop and maintain IT security policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Monitor systems for vulnerabilities and respond to security risks or incidents.
- Maintain backup systems, disaster recovery planning, and business continuity processes.
- Evaluate and recommend technology improvements to support efficiency and scalability.
Project & Vendor Management
- Lead IT-related projects including upgrades, integrations, and system implementations.
- Manage IT vendors, consultants, software licensing, and service providers.
- Partner cross-functionally with operations, finance, and HR teams to improve processes and automation.
- Support employee onboarding/offboarding, including system access and equipment setup.
Requirements
- Bachelor"s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of progressive IT experience, including systems administration and network management.
- Strong experience supporting Microsoft environments, including Office 365 and Active Directory.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity principles, infrastructure management, and cloud-based systems.
- Experience supporting ERP systems and business-critical technology.
- Ability to travel between multiple locations as needed.
Preferences
- 2+ years of leadership or supervisory experience.
- Experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or multi-site environment.
- Familiarity with HRIS platforms, including UKG or similar systems.
- Experience leading IT projects, vendor negotiations, or technology implementations.
