Job description

bout the Role: The IT Manager for Quality Manufacturing will report to the Director of Information Technology and oversee daily IT operations within the business unit. This role requires a strategic and hands-on approach to managing resources, ensuring an effective and reliable computing environment, and maintaining compliance with systems documentation, software licenses, and computerized system validation (CSV). The IT Manager will play a pivotal role in aligning technology initiatives with corporate IT strategy while driving process improvements through innovative solutions.
Location: Boyertown, PA (Hybrid - Onsite 3 days/week: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday)
Travel: Up to 25% (1-2 times every 2 months)
Key Responsibilities:
Technology Strategy & Implementation:
  • ssist the Director, IT in defining and implementing technology goals aligned with corporate IT priorities.
  • nalyze business processes and identify technology solutions to support operational efficiency.
  • Lead IT systems implementation across the business unit in adherence to company policy and the systems development life cycle (SDLC).
Project & Resource Management:
  • Develop and execute project plans, manage timelines and milestones, and allocate internal/external resources effectively.
  • Coordinate computerized system validation (CSV) activities where applicable.
  • Ensure compliance with software licensing, documentation standards, and system operating procedures.
IT Operations & Innovation:
  • Oversee Quality Manufacturing IT tasks, vendor relationships, and technical training.
  • Identify areas for improvement in manufacturing processes and implement innovative technology solutions.
  • Maintain complete systems documentation and establish change/version control procedures.
  • Purchase and integrate hardware/software solutions as needed.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant IT experience, with at least 5 years in a regulated industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft operating systems (Windows Client/Server).
  • 3+ years of hands-on implementation experience with IQMS/DELMIAworks across various modules.
  • Strong project management experience and ability to lead IT initiatives.

  • Excellent communication skills to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in plastics manufacturing industries.
  • Familiarity with multiple ERP systems and multi-ERP environments.

  • Experience implementing quality management systems (QMS).
  • Managing IT projects in multi-site organizations.
