What is an implementation manager?

The primary responsibilities of an implementation manager are to introduce new systems, programs, and technologies into an organization. In this position, you draft an implementation strategy to ensure the new information system is right for the company’s goals. Other job duties include team management, creating work plans, and ensuring each process works smoothly. Technical skills are essential even though the career doesn’t entail creating programs or technology. How does an implementation manager typically collaborate with clients and internal teams during a project rollout?

An Implementation Manager serves as the main liaison between clients and various internal departments, such as project management, technical support, and product development. During a project rollout, they coordinate meetings, clarify client requirements, and ensure all stakeholders are aligned with the project timeline and objectives. This role often involves resolving issues quickly, managing expectations, and providing regular status updates to both clients and internal teams to ensure a smooth and successful implementation.

Job description

MaintainX is a leading mobile-first work execution platform for industrial and frontline teams. More than 13,000 customers, including Duracell, McDonald's, Shell, DHL and Volvo, use MaintainX to cut unplanned downtime and run better operations, across 13.9 million managed assets and 79.5 million completed work orders.
In August 2026 MaintainX became part of Autodesk, joining Autodesk Operations Solutions, the organization unifying Autodesk's operations platform alongside Tandem, FlexSim and Fusion Operations. Autodesk's strategy is to converge design, make and operate into one continuous lifecycle: design an asset, build it, run it, then feed what you learn running it back into the next design. Autodesk had design and make. Operate is the phase that tells you what actually happened, and it is ours.
We're looking for a bilingual Implementation Analyst to join our team. In this customer-facing role, you'll support customer implementations by configuring the MaintainX platform, managing data migration, gathering business requirements, and troubleshooting technical issues throughout onboarding. You'll work closely with customers and internal teams to ensure successful deployments, drive platform adoption, and help translate maintenance and operational processes into effective workflows, delivering an exceptional onboarding experience.
What You'll Do:
  • Lead mid-market customers through successful implementations
  • Own implementation tasks such as data structuring, data migration and product training
  • Assist customers in identifying ways to get the most value out of the product.
  • Lead meetings with client stakeholders
  • Deliver formal training to end-users
  • Provide knowledge transfer to internal team members throughout the onboarding process
  • Track and communicate client issues and proactively troubleshoot and resolve problems.
  • Participate in multiple accounts, deadlines, and milestones

About you:
  • 1+ years of relevant experience in software implementation, customer onboarding or application engineering
  • Fluent in both English and Spanish, with the ability to confidently communicate and deliver implementation in both languages in a business setting
  • BEng degree or equivalent
  • Experience in manufacturing and/or industrial space
  • Excellent communication, presentation, facilitation, time management, and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data cleanup, validation, manipulation, and functions such as XLOOKUP, PivotTables, and formulas used to prepare and migrate customer data
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and perform well in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of quality and client satisfaction
  • Savvy with technology and capacity to become well-versed in our software in a short period of time
  • Ability to learn the MaintainX product within 30 days to advise customers.

What's in it for you:
  • Competitive salary and meaningful equity opportunities.
  • Healthcare, dental, and vision coverage.
  • 401(k) / RRSP enrollment program.
  • Take what you need PTO.
  • A Work Culture where:
    • You'll work alongside folks across the globe that reflect the MaintainX values, Smart Humble Optimist.
    • We believe in meritocracy, where ideas and effort are publicly celebrated.

Our mission is to keep the physical world running. Factories, fleets, hospitals and campuses stay up because the people who maintain them have tools worth using. That is what we build.
Compensation and benefits. Base pay is one part of the package. Depending on the role, compensation may also include commission, an annual bonus and equity. Benefits differ by country. For roles in the United States, Autodesk's benefits are described at benefits.autodesk.com. For roles in Canada and other countries, the plan differs on health coverage, retirement and leave, and your recruiter will walk you through it.
Belonging. We take pride in a culture where everyone can thrive. More at autodesk.com/company/global-belonging. More on where this is going: Autodesk CEO Andrew Anagnost on building the future of connected operations, and AOS SVP Stephen Hooper on welcoming MaintainX to Autodesk.
