Primary Job Responsibilities Safety
  • Maintain a safe work environment for employees and customers by setting safety as a priority
  • Ensure gas pumps, lot and store areasare clean and free of debris at all times
  • Work with SafetyTeam and conduct monthly mandatory meetings andtrainings
  • Report safety incidentsin a timely mannerandcomply withsafetypolicy,programsand processes
  • Conducttimelyand in-depth incident investigations to uncover root causes, and accurately prepare andsubmitrequired reports and paperwork within requiredtimeframe
Leadership and Personnel Management
  • Train, develop,guideand evaluate employees tooperatethe storeeffectively and safely to provide superior customer service
  • Maintain a professional and supportive image among subordinates and supervisors

Customer Service and Site Relationships
  • Consistently provide prompt and courteous customer service, may berequiredtoassistcustomers at the gas pump, andassistin resolving customer issues
  • Accurately ring up all sales on POS system,comply withall cash handling procedures and otherpayment typesfor products sold
  • Develop positive and professional relationships with all customers,vendorsand contractors
  • Is responsible forall cash,moniesand inventory during shift
  • As a top priority, develop and assign tasks appropriately to ensure that the site is clean, adequately stocked and organized for fast,convenientand professional service to customers
  • Ensure a clean,friendlyand well-maintained storeenvironment to provide customers witha buyingexperience that meets theirexpectation
  • Monitor customer needs and expectations, and work with storeemployees to ensure those needs are metby promoting programs and ensuring suggestive selling
  • Assistcustomers at the pump and in the store to find the desired product andoperateequipment
  • Activelysolicitcustomer feedback via consistent personal interactionand engagement
  • Ensure complaints are resolved quickly and sincerely to thecustomer's,vendor’sand contractor’s satisfaction.

Business and Financial Management
  • Plan and manage storeactivities to maximize operating profit
  • Monitor fuel sales volume and competitor pricing toassistthe pricing analyst in development of storespecific fuel pricing strategies and tactics
  • Monitormerchandiseandfoodmovement, includingcompetitor offerings toassistin development of storespecific product mix and pricing strategies
  • Maintain store layout and product displays per schematics
  • Execute storelevel sales promotions andassistin implementing network-wide promotional and advertising campaigns
  • Manage fuel,merchandiseand foodinventory to ensureoptimumstocking levels
  • Staff and schedule labor to meet customer demand while staying within budget
  • Control operating expenses, including maintenance, utilities,suppliesand inventory loss
  • Prepare andsubmitdaily sales reports accurately andtimely,including,invoices, bank deposits, and environmental compliance reports
  • Safeguard and account for all money received and disbursed
  • Organize andmaintainall site files, manuals, and other information materials
  • Receive merchandise using proper check-in procedures when working with vendors
  • Obtain andmaintainall required food and age restricted product certifications within 2 weeks of employment
Facilities Management
  • Work with Retail Facility team tomaintainappearance standards of paving, lighting,canopyand other physical structures
  • Report and follow up on facility issues as needed
  • Ensure facilities and equipment are in safe working order
  • Maintain dispensing and store equipment to ensure clean, sanitary, and safe working conditionsat all times
  • Ensure required signage/decals are posted

  • Frequent reaching overhead, gripping, wrist movement, and finger dexterityrequiredto restock inventory, package items sold,operatePOS system, receive payments, issue change,operategas pumps, wipe pumps, maintain storegrounds, and general housekeeping
  • Frequent squatting and kneelingrequiredfor obtaining and/or replenishing items
  • Ability to push/pull with arms up to a force of 20 pounds (i.e.utilizinga hand-truck)
  • Frequent lifting of 20 pounds or less from floor to waist, overhead and carry a short distance
  • Sometimes required to liftin excess ofstated conditions up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to climb astepladder to stockor retrieve materials and/or place or remove signs
