About the Team

The Client Implementation Management team is accountable for facilitating and leading the onboarding activities of new clients into various vehicles which include Institutional Separate Account and Sub-Advised accounts. The team is responsible for having a holistic understanding of the attributes to new client mandates and holding key stakeholders accountable to executing on their capabilities.

Role Summary

The Client Implementation Manager leads institutional client and T. Rowe Price proprietary product onboarding activities and other change events, following a project management discipline, that potentially bring with them requirements outside of TRP standards. This individual contributor role is accountable for implementing new business and leading cross functional account change events. This requires liaising between all internal and external stakeholders to ensure all documentation and operational requirements are fulfilled prior to inception/effective date. The role will be regionally focused and will form part the global Client Implementation Management function and may, from time to time, be required to work on onboarding projects emanating from other regions, according to demand and regional team capacity. Role is expected to proactively identify and address all client operational needs, offering and developing solutions to optimize the client experience related to client on-boarding, offboarding and lifecycle events in between.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees and manages client operations and administration support activities for clients. Services clients through the client life cycle, resolves complex operational issues, and monitors requests through execution. Escalates complex issues and requests to more senior staff as needed.
  • Analyzes data to develop informed operating or servicing agreements. Negotiates operational servicing requirements based on analysis. Facilitates resolution of complex operational needs and escalates complex, nonstandard servicing requirements and engages more senior staff to develop applicable solution to highly complex operational issues
  • Communicates on a regular basis with complex and challenging clients and their service providers to deliver high-quality services. Facilitates the communication of information to internal parties. Ensures resolution activities are in accordance with the local regulatory requirements.
  • Leads internal activities and initiatives designed to improve the client operations process and ensure a high-quality client experience. Helps develop process improvements.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and relevant experience AND
  • 5+ years of total relevant work experience

Preferred:

  • Operational expertise and knowledge of requirements and the process for onboarding institutional clients. Knowledge of the investment management operations landscape and trends
  • Experience working with separate accounts and commingled products, with strong client management and relationship building skills
  • Proven project management skills and capabilities in cross functional environments, experience coordinating and directing cross-functional teams, and exposure to project management systems, tools and methodologies
  • Critical thinking, analysis and interpretation of data
  • Independent worker who is results driven and performs well under time-sensitive deadlines; Ability to manage multiple priorities, flexible, with excellent organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate technical concepts and ideas to non-technical audience
  • Experience with 3rd party vendor engagement and partnerships
  • Ability to identify potential issues and escalate appropriately
  • Ability to navigate through internal and client organizations for decisions and sign-off
  • Proven ability to identify and develop process improvement changes

This role is eligible for hybrid work, with up to one day per week from home.
