Job Description

Covista Open Doorsย -- our enterprise impact strategy -- launched in early 2026, and this role sits at the center of bringing it to life. The Senior Manager, Impactย Engagement, is a newly created position responsible for embedding our impact story in the fabric of howย Covistaย drives our business, engages ourย peopleย and shows up in the world.ย 

Working across the full Corporate Affairs community -- from alumni, government and investor relations to public affairs and communications -- this role ensures our impact strategy is a deliberate and consistent thread across all we do. Through communications, events, programming, institution enablement and new partnerships, this work reaches and resonates with the stakeholders who matter most.ย 

The Senior Manager, Impact Engagement reports directly to the VP, Impact and is an active member of the Impact function, positioned within Corporate Affairs.ย 

  • Develop and lead the engagement strategy forย Covista'sย Impact function, ensuring our impact story is embedded across all channels,ย audiencesย and business touchpoints.ย 
  • Serve as the primary connector between Impact and Corporate Affairs partners -- including alumni relations, government relations, investor relations, publicย affairsย and communications -- to ensure Impact is consistently and compellingly represented and wovenย into internal and external efforts.ย 
  • Build andย maintainย the narrative architecture forย Covistaย Open Doorsย and theย Covistaย Foundation, translating strategy into stories that resonate with internal and external stakeholders.ย 
  • Drive the strategy and execution of internal communications and storytelling for the enterprise impact strategy,ย programsย and partnerships, andย forย theย Covistaย Foundation, in partnership with the internal communications leader.ย 
  • Lead the development of impact-centered content and materials across a broad range of formats -- fromย event programming, fundraising appeals,ย annualย Impact reports,ย leadership briefings,ย digital contentย and more.ย 
  • Drive institution enablement by equippingย Covistaย leaders with the tools,ย messagingย and resources to bringย our Impactย effortsย to life in their own contexts.ย 
  • Manage & advance key aspects of our Impact strategy, spanning program development, partnershipย managementย and overall evolution.ย ย 
  • Identifyย and develop new partnership opportunities that advance and amplifyย Covista'sย Impact strategy and desired outcomes.ย 
  • Design and execute engagement programming -- including events,ย campaignsย and internal initiatives -- that deepen stakeholder connection toย Covista'sย impact work, from employee engagement to government relations and alumni eventsย 
  • Work in close collaborationย with the Impact team to ensure alignmentย acrossย impact strategy,ย storytellingย and engagementย inย allย facetsย of work.ย 
  • Provide regular reporting to leadership on engagement progress,ย milestones,ย and audience reach.ย 
  • Manage and provide strategic direction and guidance toย Impact team members.ย 
  • Performs other duties as assigned.ย 
  • Complies withย all policies and standards.ย 
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in related field, or equivalent experience Required.
  • Seven (7) plusย years in social impact, strategy, communications and stakeholder engagement or equivalent experience.
  • Deepย expertiseย in social impact -- strategy, sustainability,ย philanthropyย and community engagement.ย 
  • Proven communications experience -- developing and executing internal communications strategies that translate complex work into clear, compelling narratives across formats and audiences.ย 
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a natural ability to engage and inspire diverse internal audiences.ย 
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills, withย demonstratedย ability to collaborate across functions and influence without direct authority in a matrixed organization.ย 
  • Strong project management skills withย a track recordย of delivering results in a fast-paced, evolving environment.ย 
  • Experience managing or mentoring team members, with the ability to lead others as the function grows.ย 
  • Flexible and action-oriented, with sound judgment and the ability toย anticipateย needs and adapt to shifting priorities.ย 
  • Proficiencyย in Microsoft Office; familiarity with content management or employee engagement platforms a plus.ย 

Additional Information

In support of the pay transparency laws enacted across the country, the expected salary range for this position is between $80,336.75 and $145,077.09. Actual pay will be adjusted based on job-related factors permitted by law, such as experience and training; geographic location; licensure and certifications; market factors; departmental budgets; and responsibility.
