Job description

Built on service. Powered by people.
Impact exists because a small group of industry leaders believed companies in our space were doing it wrong. Many prioritized margins while the people doing the work and the clients relying on it became an afterthought. Impact was built differently: invest in great people, trust them to do great work, and deliver the kind of service clients remember. That approach helped us grow from a small office technology company into a national managed services provider, while remaining privately owned and people-first.
What makes Impact special is that growth has never come at the expense of the values that got us here. We continue to reinvest in our people, our capabilities, and the opportunities ahead so employees can grow alongside the business. We've built something special, but we're far from finished. The people who join Impact now will help define what comes next.

Our North Star: Client Centricity
Job Overview
Impact is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Production Assistant Intern to support our growing media production team. This entry-level role is ideal for someone passionate about media production who is eager to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced, collaborative studio environment.
As a Production Assistant Intern, you will play a key role in supporting both internal productions and client-facing projects, working closely with producers, directors, cinematographers, and technical teams to help ensure productions run smoothly from pre-production through wrap. Responsibilities will include assisting with studio and on-set operations, equipment setup and breakdown, production support, media handling, and overall production workflow coordination.
This role offers real-world experience across all phases of production, with opportunities to further develop technical, creative, and problem-solving skills while contributing to branded content, marketing campaigns, live productions, corporate videos, and virtual production projects. The Production Assistant Intern will report directly to the Virtual Production Supervisor and will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience with cutting-edge virtual production technology and studio workflows.
Responsibilities
  • Assist producers and crew with on-set logistics and general production needs
  • Set up and break down equipment before and after shoots
  • Help maintain organization of production gear, props, and craft services
  • Assist with gear inventory audits
  • Support talent and crew on set, ensuring a professional and efficient shoot environment
  • Coordinate pick-ups, deliveries, and vendor communication as needed
  • Participate in location scouts and tech preps
  • Assist with coordinating scheduling and logistics for studio sessions, talent, and crew.
  • Gain exposure to real-time workflows, LED volumes, and camera tracking systems
  • May assist with virtual production setups, engine operation, or playback depending on experience
  • Work closely with producers, camera department, and audio team to anticipate needs
  • Organize and manage digital assets, including footage, graphics, and project files
  • Facilitate communication between studio team and other departments (e.g., marketing, communications, events)
  • Assist with script preparation, cueing, and timing during shoots
  • Support administrative tasks such as call sheets, production notes, and expense tracking
Qualifications & Experience
    • Junior or Senior status pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Film, Media Production, Communications, or a related field
    • Strong interest in media production with a willingness to support a variety of creative, technical, and operational tasks
    • Comfortable working in both studio and field production environments
    • Ability to lift and carry production equipment, stand for extended periods, and adapt to fast-paced production schedules
    • Familiarity with production equipment, cameras, lighting, audio gear, and on-set workflows preferred
    • Interest in or familiarity with virtual production, LED volume environments, or Unreal Engine is a plus
    • Basic understanding of audio workflows, production support, and media handling preferred
    • Knowledge of general production safety, set etiquette, and professional studio workflows preferred
    • Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills with the ability to take direction and adapt quickly on set
    • Detail-oriented, dependable, proactive, and eager to learn in a collaborative studio environment
    • Passion for video production, storytelling, live production, and creative content creation
    Compensation and Time Allocation
The Media Production Internship will run June 15th through August 21st, 2026. Interns will earn $18.00/hour and will work up to, but not exceed, 40 hours per week.
      Work Authorization & Immigration Sponsorship
Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States at the time of application. Immigration sponsorship may be considered in limited circumstances based on business need, cost, workforce planning, and applicable government requirements.
