Job description

Job Summary:

Adventist Health Roseville is seeking a Community Impact Intern for a Full-time Temporary position with 8-hour day shifts. We are looking for a qualified and dedicated individual who is able to work onsite at our Roseville, CA location.

Extracts qualitative data obtained via focus groups and key informant interviews, and codes them to a 12-category Community Impact (CI) framework that corresponds with general social determinants of health concepts. Studies CI framework and writes descriptions of categories for Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA) reports. Edits codebook to assign key phrases to 12-category framework. Codes key excerpts from key informant interview and focus group notes/transcripts into framework categories. Analyzes data to identify top health needs in 15+ communities.

Job Requirements:

Education and Work Experience:

  • High School Education/GED or equivalent: Preferred
  • Associate's/Technical Degree in public health or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Preferred
  • Community health experience: Preferred

Essential Functions:

  • Studies CI framework and prepares definitions and descriptions of categories. Prepares written, formatted content for CHNA reports describing framework.
  • Downloads secondary data reports using dashboard. Formats reports in preparation for CHNA reports.
  • Makes a detailed review of transcripts and notes documents for relevant excerpts of terms and phrases, and assigns those excerpts to framework.
  • Prepares Powerpoint presentations and meeting agendas for data reveal meetings.
  • Completes assigned writing, analysis, or powerpoint design tasks. Takes notes during meetings and follows up with individuals regarding assigned tasks.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
