A growing healthcare organization is seeking an experienced and compassionate Physician (MD/DO) to support our Detroit, Michigan team providing wound care and dermatologic services within structured outpatient PACE clinic environments serving senior populations.

This is a short-term contract opportunity designed to provide immediate coverage and support within an established and growing specialty care program.

Providers in this role function as an extension of the interdisciplinary care team within coordinated outpatient senior care settings — offering meaningful patient impact without the administrative burden of traditional practice environments.

What You'll Do
  • Perform comprehensive wound and skin assessments
  • Develop and manage individualized treatment plans utilizing evidence-based practices
  • Provide ongoing wound care management and follow-up care
  • Perform procedures within scope of practice including:
    • Debridement
    • Compression therapy
    • Wound dressing applications
    • Negative Pressure Wound Therapy (Wound VAC)
    • Skin substitute and tissue-based product applications
  • Evaluate and manage chronic and acute skin conditions including:
    • Pressure-related skin injuries
    • Dermatitis
    • Fungal and bacterial skin conditions
    • Non-healing wounds and suspicious lesions
  • Perform dermatologic procedures as clinically appropriate including:
    • Cryotherapy
    • Shave biopsies
    • Punch biopsies
    • Minor lesion management
  • Collaborate closely with nursing staff, primary care providers, and interdisciplinary care teams
  • Educate caregivers and facility staff regarding wound prevention and skin integrity
  • Maintain accurate and timely EMR documentation
  • Travel locally between clinic locations within the Detroit market as needed
Ideal Background
  • Active MD or DO license in Michigan
  • DEA license in good standing
  • Experience in wound care, dermatology, geriatrics, family medicine, internal medicine, or post-acute care preferred
  • Comfortable working independently within clinic-based environments
  • Strong clinical judgment and bedside manner
  • Experience performing bedside wound care procedures preferred
  • Wound care certification preferred but not required
  • Reliable transportation for local travel between clinic sites
