ICU/IMCU RN – Travel/Local Contract

Location: Atlanta, GA
Pay: $50–$55/hour, based on experience
Shift: Days | 7:00 AM–7:30 PM | 12-hour shifts
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: 13 Weeks

Avacend Inc. is seeking an experienced Critical Care Registered Nurse (RN) for an immediate-start ICU Float Pool opportunity in Atlanta, GA. The ideal candidate will have strong ICU experience and be comfortable floating between critical care units in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct nursing care to critically ill patients
  • Assess and monitor patient conditions and respond to emergencies
  • Administer medications and treatments
  • Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
  • Educate and support patients and families
  • Float between critical care units as needed
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum 1 year of ICU/Critical Care experience
  • Active Georgia RN license or Compact RN license
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications
  • Associate Degree or Diploma in Nursing
  • Must successfully pass a dysrhythmia assessment
  • Strong patient assessment, critical thinking, communication, and time-management skills
Preferred Experience
  • Hemodynamic monitoring
  • Vasopressor management
  • Ventilator management
  • CRRT
  • BSN preferred
