GENERAL POSITION SUMMARY: Provide friendly, efficient and timely customer service that exceeds the guest’s expectations. Create a memorable experience for guests using excellent guest service skills. Have a clear understanding of our service standards and meet these expectations on a daily basis. Exhibit complete knowledge of coffee bar beverages, food items and merchandise, and services IMAX® at the Center provides.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Exhibit full knowledge of beverage, food & merchandise items.
  • Knows and is responsible for Engaging, Merchandising, Excellence & Proficiency, and Teamwork standards as outlined in the server manual.
  • Complete required set-up as defined in opening duties prior to opening.
  • Effectively use micros, has full knowledge of item abbreviations to enhance speed of service.
  • Ensure coffee & tea beverages are served according to standards with correct presentation.
  • Ensures all food items are prepared and served to standard.
  • Ensure guest satisfaction throughout experience.
  • Maintain side work duties throughout shift, including tables and stools.
  • Provide Service Recovery at all times regarding guest and co-worker interactions.
  • Complete closing duties as defined, including thorough cleaning of espresso machine, coffee brewer & airpots, and all other equipment and checks out with restaurant manager at end of shift.
  • Perform any other duties deemed necessary by restaurant management.

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Reliable in attendance and punctuality using proper time clock and sign in/out procedures.
  • Maintain the highest in uniform and grooming standards by adhering to both company and departmental uniform standards.
  • Knowledge of IMAX® at the Center policies and procedures.
  • Knowledge of Fire/Safety/Life procedures.
  • Promote a positive and professional attitude to all internal and external guests.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Must have a minimum of 6 months Food Service experience in a high-volume environment. Excellent grooming and communication skills necessary. Requires the ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Must have a valid Washington State Class 12 or Class 13 Alcohol Service Permit, and a valid Washington State Food Handler’s Permit.
  • Always remains professional and works well with others.
  • Must have physical ability to walk, stand, reach and lift up to 50 pounds throughout shift, plus the fine motor agility to prepare food and beverages quickly and accurately. Typical shift is approximately 8 hours.


Full Time, Hourly Position

Hourly Rate: $21.30 - $21.30 / hour plus tips
