What is imaging sales?

Imaging Sales refers to the business of selling imaging products and solutions, such as medical imaging equipment (like MRI, CT, and X-ray machines), cameras, printers, scanners, and related software or services. Professionals in Imaging Sales work with hospitals, clinics, businesses, or individuals to understand their imaging needs and provide suitable solutions. Their responsibilities often include product demonstrations, negotiations, and maintaining customer relationships. The role requires both technical knowledge of imaging products and strong sales skills.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in imaging sales?

To thrive in Imaging Sales, you need strong knowledge of medical imaging technology, sales strategies, and a relevant degree or sales experience in the healthcare sector. Familiarity with CRM software, product demonstration tools, and certifications like Certified Sales Professional (CSP) are commonly required. Exceptional interpersonal skills, persuasive communication, and resilience distinguish top performers in this role. These skills are crucial for building trust with clients, effectively conveying technical value, and achieving sales targets in a competitive market.

What are some common challenges faced in imaging sales, and how can new hires best overcome them?

Professionals in Imaging Sales often encounter challenges such as keeping up with rapidly evolving technology, understanding diverse client needs, and navigating long sales cycles. New hires can overcome these hurdles by staying updated on the latest imaging solutions, participating in regular training sessions, and building strong relationships with both technical and purchasing stakeholders. Collaborating closely with technical teams and attending industry events can also help new sales professionals provide value-driven solutions and establish credibility with clients.

Keep Critical Imaging Systems Running - And Own the Craft Behind Them

You're ready to take the skills you've built in imaging service and apply them where your expertise actually shapes patient care. You want a role where your judgment is trusted and your technical range keeps expanding.

What You'll Do

Restore confidence in every scan by repairing, calibrating, and verifying complex imaging systems.

Lead the charge on regulatory accuracy-radiation outputs, documentation, and database integrity.

Be the technical voice clinicians rely on when equipment performance affects realtime decisions.

Mentor others, guide vendors, and keep inventory tight so equipment stays up and running.

You're Our Person If...

You like digging into complex systems until the "why" becomes obvious.

You stay calm when equipment is down and people are waiting.

You enjoy being the person others call because you simply know how to fix it.

You take pride in precision-because in imaging, details matter.

Why Us

We give you access to advanced imaging technology and the training to master it. You'll work with people who respect your craft and trust your expertise, not just your wrench skills.

TRIMEDX Offers:

Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401K, Paid-Time Off

Ongoing training and education

Growth and promotional opportunities

Job opportunities available on a national level

International volunteer opportunities through the TRIMEDX Foundation

Required Experience & Education

Minimum 3 years repairing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and installing medical imaging equipment (radiographic rooms, Carms, ultrasound, mammography, etc.).

Strong computer skills: interpreting error codes, replacing power supplies, harddrive work, and system diagnostics.

Valid driver's license; travel as needed.

2year technical/electronics degree or equivalent experience or TRIMEDX Trained Certification/biomedical certification program.

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks required for equipment service.

If you're ready to deepen your imaging expertise and make a measurable impact every day, we'd love to talk.
