Job description

Position Type: Locum Tenens
Specialty: Diagnostic Radiology Physician
Location: Ohio
Rate: $440/hr on 1099 with Travel, Lodging and Malpractice Coverage
Shift: Monday-Friday Flexible Day Shifts
Start Date: ASAP
End Date: Ongoing

Position Details:

Setting: Hospital-Based Radiology Practice

Coverage Needed:

  • 1-2 Weeks Per Month
  • Monday-Friday Coverage
  • Flexible Shift Options:
    • 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM
    • 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM
    • 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
    • 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM
  • No Overtime

Responsibilities:

  • Interpret general diagnostic imaging studies
  • Read inpatient, outpatient, and STAT cases
  • Participate in a collaborative workflow environment
  • Perform light image-guided procedures if qualified

Required Modalities:

  • CT (including unenhanced head and C-spine trauma studies)
  • Ultrasound (including First Trimester OB)
  • X-Ray

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Fellowship Training
  • Experience with Basic Image-Guided Procedures

Not Required:

  • Mammography
  • Nuclear Medicine
  • Stroke/Neuro MRI
  • Spine MRI
  • MSK MRI (unless fellowship trained)

Case Volume:

  • Approximately 60-100 Cases Per Day
  • Mix of Inpatient, Outpatient, and STAT Studies
  • Approximately 50% Cross-Sectional Imaging
  • Productivity Expectation: 7 wRVUs Per Hour

Optional Procedures:

  • CT-Guided Biopsies
  • Ultrasound-Guided Biopsies
  • Abscess Drainages
  • Chest Tube Placement
  • Thyroid FNA
  • Other Basic Image-Guided Procedures

Procedure Volume:

  • Approximately 2-5 Minor Procedures Per Day

Systems:

  • PACS: AGFA EI
  • Dictation: PowerScribe 360
  • EMR: Epic
Submission Requirements:
  • American Board of Radiology (ABR) Board Certification Required
  • Active Ohio License or IMLC LOQ in Hand
  • NPDB Self-Query (Completed Within Last 6 Months)
  • ACLS Certification Through AHA Required for Providers Performing Procedures
