Flexible consistent with providing support to individuals with developmental disabilities in their natural environments: home, day program, and community. Possible weekend hours upon required training needs. General hours 8:00am-4:00pm Monday - Friday.
Job Summary
Flexible hours to be consistent with providing support to individuals with developmental disabilities in their natural environments: home, day program, and community. To work as an interdisciplinary team member to implement support plans that facilitate clients in reaching their full potential. To promote professional development in the Intermediate Care Facilities for Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities (ICF/IID) department. To provide critical competency based teaching to direct care management and staff to facilitate continuity of care
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and monitor Behavior Support Plans, staff instructions, and crisis plans.
  • Should be able to function independently and as a team member. Should be able to teach in a variety of settings to people with varying educational backgrounds and literacy levels. Should be able to communicate well both verbally and in writing.
  • Follow the Intermediate Care Facilities for Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities (ICF/IID) State Operations Manual for providing behavior services to Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities residing in ICF/IID homes.
  • Coordinate care of the individual with psychiatrists, general practitioners, and other team members. This may include outside appointments with individuals. Attend COS/ISP meetings.
  • Provide training to all staff providing services to individuals residing in ICF/IID homes. This training includes methods of data collection, behavior analysis principles, implementation of staff instructions, crisis plans and Behavior Support Plans.
  • Provide appropriate assessments and consultation for behavior support as needed, on-call and weekends required.
  • Respond as needed to behavior alerts.
  • Should be able to provide physical assistance as needed during crisis situations.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Education: Master's in Behavior Analysis or related field, BCBA, TN DIDD Approved BA (required), TN Licensed BCBA (required)
Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of experience. Prefer previous experience in the developmental disabilities field of service.
Professional Skills: BCBA
Physical Requirements: Health must be adequate to allow for efficient accomplishment of assigned duties and responsibilities.
Supervisory Structure: Reports to ICF/IID Sr. AD Quality Supports.
Job Requirements: 90-Day Evaluation Period. All Orange Grove Center required training and orientation.
