What You Will Be Doing
  • High level language programming for a variety of applications including python, java, and others
  • Database design and programming including stored procedures and reporting in platforms such as SQL
  • Design and program custom industrial applications, web-based applications, software, and complex architecture using platforms including Ignition
  • Design intuitive, easy-to-navigate, aesthetically pleasing user interfaces in a variety of platforms
  • Use Agile and Scrum methodologies
  • Understand project scope and value proposition for clients as well as the user perspective
  • Break deliverables down into user stories and tasks, and provide accurate time estimations for both
  • Communication of status, scope, blockers, and issues both internally and externally
  • Work with the sales and estimating team to plan out the amount of time and hours for completing various tasks on programming jobs
  • Provide technical oversight and quality control on projects to ensure project success
  • Help mentor and train other Developers
What You Need for this Position
  • BS in Computer Science, Math, Software, Chemical, Mechanical or electrical engineering preferred, or relevant experience (2+ years)
  • 7-12 years of experience in software engineering and development and/or industrial programming capacity
  • Experience with Ignition
  • Sepasoft experience is a plus
  • Understand at least two of the following: C#, C++, Java, Python and a subject matter expert in at least one
  • Proficiency in the design/architecture and programming of SQL databases
  • Proficiency in web-based development and systems programming
  • Ability to quickly understand and build complex applications
  • Knowledge of and ability to apply industry standard software design practices and programming methodologies
  • Track record of technical leadership successes
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to travel up to 20%
