Recruit and build out a best-in-class Engineering organization to build scaled distributed systems that are high quality and highly reliable; Manage multiple development teams and a platform that supports all products within the Fanatics Betting & Gaming product line; Responsible for Vision, Mission, Strategy, Goals and Roadmap (and execution of said roadmap) around areas of ownership; Collaborate and coordinate complex projects across multiple 3rd party vendors; Work closely with Marketing and Operations' Stakeholders to drive a roadmap; Develop a deep understanding of the company and opportunities for customers; Identify technology gaps and opportunities, taking ownership for the technology roadmap within the space and ensuring appropriate engineering investments in the underlying platform; Drive predictability and reliability through Operational Excellence, and create clear objectives and transparency through use of data and KPIs; Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, inside and outside of Engineering, and collaborate with leaders to prioritize technical efforts and provide input on product features and capabilities; Provide leadership and technical expertise within the engineering organization. Be a mentor and role model for engineering; Remain current on technology and trends in engineering. Up to 10% of domestic travel may be required for office visits/meetings. Partial telecommuting permitted; on-site at 95 Morton Street, Floor 7, New York, NY 10014 when not telecommuting. Salary: $261,248 - $271,248 per year.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's Degree or U.S. equivalent in Computer Science or a related field, plus 5 years of professional experience as a Staff Engineer, Software Engineer, or any occupation, job title, or position developing and maintaining backend systems.
Must also have experience in the following: 4 years of professional experience developing scalable backend services and APIs by collaborating with senior engineers and cross-functional partners to deliver high-performance software solutions; 4 years of professional experience leading teams in the design, development, and maintenance of backend systems to support seamless customer experiences; 4 years of professional experience championing code quality by conducting and participating in code reviews, driving architecture discussions, and implementing engineering best practices; 3 years of professional experience collaborating with product managers, front-end engineers, and back-end teams to deliver new features, improvements, and customer-driven solutions; 3 years of professional experience mentoring teams to design, test, document, and deploy backend services and APIs; 2 years of professional experience clarifying technical requirements, negotiating priorities, and leading daily scrum activities to ensure timely delivery; 2 years of professional experience building strong stakeholder relationships and providing executive-level updates on KPIs, metrics, and status to align business priorities with technical investments.
