iGaming Developers are software professionals who design, build, and maintain online gaming platforms, including casino games, sports betting applications, and other interactive gambling solutions. They work with a variety of technologies to ensure smooth gameplay, secure transactions, and engaging user experiences. iGaming Developers often collaborate with game designers, backend engineers, and compliance teams to create reliable and legally compliant gaming environments. Their work is essential for the operation and growth of online casinos and betting websites.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an iGaming developer?

To thrive as an iGaming Developer, you need strong programming skills (such as JavaScript, C++, or HTML5), a solid understanding of game mechanics, and experience with software development, often supported by a degree in computer science or related field. Familiarity with game engines (like Unity or Unreal Engine), version control systems (e.g., Git), and compliance standards in regulated markets is typical. At ARRISE, we know a thing or two about making great games. From concept to execution, we combine creativity with technical excellence to shape the future of player engagement, driving our business and industry forward.
Our teams plan, prepare, and produce every title in a packed multi-product roadmap, having created over 1,800 slots to date. Game artists, developers, mathematicians, sound technicians, product marketers, regulatory experts, and other stakeholders from across the business all work together on delivering new player favorites at scale and pace.
ARRISE USA represents our growing footprint in one of the world's most dynamic tech and entertainment markets. With a remote team of product experts, we're tapping into American talent to drive the next generation of iGaming innovation.
ABOUT THE ROLE
We're building a brand-new, US-based, fully remote game studio developing new slot games and we're looking for an Associate Mathematician to help develop the math models that power our games.
In this role, you'll work with an experienced Game Designer to create new slot game math models with high-performing mechanics, ensuring they are accurate, fair, and engaging.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
  • Define the mathematical profile of the game, including the game's balance, volatility, and player experience
  • Create and maintain the game's PAR sheets and other math documentation, using both Excel and simulations
  • Work closely with the Game Designer, prototyping team, and engineering team to ensure the math is implemented accurately and follows the overall game design
  • Playtest and iterate on your game's math and mechanics with an eye toward creating the best player experience possible
  • Collaborate with other mathematicians to provide gameplay feedback and recommendations for improvement on each other's games
  • Regularly play competitors' games in the iGaming and land-based spaces to stay abreast of industry trends and new mechanics

WHAT WE ASK OF YOU
  • Strong interest in casino games, especially slots, in iGaming and land-based markets
  • Experience developing math models for real-money slot games is a plus
  • Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • Expertise using Excel to model probabilities and perform data analysis
  • Familiarity programming in C++, C#, or Python
  • Excellent written communication skills, especially the ability to clearly communicate complex and technical concepts to stakeholders across the globe
  • Passion for games and learning industry trends, emerging game mechanics, and player expectations
  • You should:
    • Be comfortable moving between multiple projects while maintaining a high attention to detail
    • Bring strong organization and structure to a fast-moving environment
    • Have a passion for problem solving in complex systems
    • Obsess over detail and refinement
    • Provide, accept, and act on feedback constructively
