Job description

Job Summary:
Liberty University is seeking an Institutional Support and Operations Analyst to provide high-level operational support for the Institutional Effectiveness & Research Office (IER). The role involves ensuring optimal process efficiency, data quality, and policy adherence while collaborating with various departments on reporting, data analysis, and academic projects.
Responsibilities:
• Performs data entry and updates where needed to ensure data quality for various academic tools and systems.
• Performs data analysis to identify trends, discrepancies, and areas for improvement, providing actionable insights to academic units and leadership.
• Summarizes and describes raw data sets for IER consumption.
• Assists schools, colleges, and departments in meeting IER deadlines for maintaining data quality.
• Evaluates for compliance with institutional policies and manages risks related to data quality and process integrity.
• Assists with operational support to academic units, aligning with IER's strategic initiatives, tools and reports.
• Works closely with academic units with a focus on customer service.
• Understands university systems and data sets and accurately represents that information to academic units.
• Assists IER in streamlining academic processes using new or current technology in coordination with ADS.
• Documents academic processes, reviews inefficiencies, and makes recommendations for improvement to supervisor.
• Continuously monitors and evaluates academic processes and systems to identify opportunities for improvement and implement enhancements.
• Contributes on tool creation to support academic policy and process development.
• Evaluates and recommends new features and/or tools to enhance academic operations and data management efficiency.
• Manage the execution of academic projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within scope. This includes setting project timelines, tracking progress, managing resources, and facilitating effective communication among team members and stakeholders.
• Develops and provides training and support to academic units on systems, processes, and tools to ensure effective adoption and use.
• Maintains clear and consistent communication with stakeholders, providing updates on projects, data issues, and process improvements.
• Willingness to work on various other tasks as assigned by leadership.
• Invests in professional development to ensure their continuous growth and advancement.
• Champions innovation, systems integration, and a data-first mindset within the IER team and across academic units.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university required.
• Experience using MS Excel and Information Systems.
• Experience using pivot tables, graphs and charts, VLOOKUP and other Excel functions.
• Ability to attain an understanding of technical systems that support the assigned business unit in an effort to provide reporting and subject matter recommendations and support.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy in data management.
• Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing to convey clear, well-articulated information.
• Ability to understand, speak, and write English in order to convey messages and correspond in an articulate and professional manner.
• Excellent computer and organizational skills.
• Intuitively able to reason, analyze information and events, and apply judgment in order to solve problems of both a routine and complex nature.
Preferred:
• 1-2 Years Of Experience With Academic Operations
• Experience in project management or process improvement is a plus.
• Knowledge of academic policies and procedures within higher education institutions is an advantage.
