ICT Support Engineer Location:

5x2, 4x3 9hr Shifts

Job Responsibilities and Duties:

The ICT Support Engineer provides timely, reliable, and customer-focused technical support that enables safe and continuous business operations across Sibanye-Stillwater sites. Working closely with end users, ICT team members, application owners, and approved vendors, this position supports ICT equipment, applications, user access, and network connectivity while maintaining company technology and cybersecurity standards. Essential job duties include:

  • Provide first- and second-line support for hardware, software, business applications, user access, and connectivity issues.
  • Prioritize, document, resolve, and elevate service desk requests in accordance with service levels and business needs.
  • Support Microsoft 365, mailbox, Active Directory, and new employee onboarding request
  • Install, configure, maintain, repair, replace, relocate, and test end-user devices and related software.
  • Troubleshoot network connectivity and assist with cabling, network points, fiber activities, and basic site infrastructure.
  • Provide on-site support at Stillwater Mine, East Boulder Mine, the Columbus MET Complex, and underground work areas as required.
  • Maintain accurate ICT asset records, including equipment tagging, movement, repairs, replacements, and audits.
  • Follow ICT policies, cybersecurity requirements, access controls, and equipment standards.
  • Participate in assigned after-hours and on-call support.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills across hardware, software, operating systems, connectivity, and user access.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft 365, Windows operating systems, Active Directory, user account administration, LAN/WAN connectivity, cabling, and endpoint support.
  • Effective communicator with a professional, customer-focused approach and the ability to explain technical information clearly.
  • Organized and adaptable, with the ability to manage competing priorities, document work accurately, and operate independently or collaboratively.
  • Ability to follow ICT, cybersecurity, access control, equipment, and workplace safety requirements.
  • Comfortable supporting office, shop, surface, and underground mining operations.
Education & Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum two years of relevant ICT support, desktop support, service desk, systems support, or related technical experience.
  • Experience supporting Windows, Microsoft 365, end-user devices, basic networking, user accounts, and business applications.
  • Associate degree or technical certification in Information Technology, Computer Science, Networking, or a related field preferred.
  • Relevant CompTIA, Microsoft, Azure, endpoint management, or ITIL certification preferred.
  • Experience in an industrial, mining, manufacturing, or field-based environment preferred.

* This position requires after-hours and on-call support, regular multi-site travel using company transportation, and work in mining-related and underground operational areas as needed.
