Overview
The part-time Welcome Center Specialist is the first point of contact for guests at the Berger Foundation Iceplex located at Acrisure Arena. The Welcome Center Specialist plays a key role in delivering a positive, organized, and welcoming experience. This position supports daily Iceplex operations by assisting guests, managing registrations and rentals, and supporting programs, public skating sessions, and special events.
 
This role is ideal for a customer-focused individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced, community-oriented environment and contributing to a high-quality guest experience.

This role pays an hourly rate of $20.00

Benefits for Part-Time roles: 401(k) Savings Plan and 401(k) matching.

This position will remain open until June 26, 2026.

Responsibilities
  • Greet guests and provide a welcoming, professional first impression.
  • Serve as a point of contact for guest questions regarding schedules, programs, and policies.
  • Assist with check-in for public skating, classes, leagues, camps, and events.
  • Accurately process point-of-sale transactions for admissions, registrations, rentals, retail items, and food and beverage service.
  • Manage skate and equipment rentals, including sizing, intake, and return procedures.
  • Communicate Iceplex policies and procedures clearly and professionally.
  • Support birthday parties, special events, and in-venue programming.
  • Work collaboratively with Iceplex staff, coaches, and operations teams.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional Welcome Center environment.
  • Support food and beverage service and sales as needed.
  • Monitor guest flow in and around the Iceplex and report safety concerns to a Lead or Manager.
  • Follow all Iceplex policies, procedures, and safety standards.
  • Attend required training sessions and staff meetings.
Qualifications
  • Customer service experience required.
  • Experience working in a sports, recreation, hospitality, or entertainment environment preferred.
  • Experience working in an ice rink or sports facility is a plus.
  • Experience with youth sports programs is a plus.
  • Comfortable handling electronic transactions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask and remain professional in a fast-paced environment.
  • Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented.
  • Ability to work in a cold environment typical of an ice rink.
  • Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
