What you will do:

The Refurb Technician I is an exciting and dynamic position that will appeal to a creative, resourceful, high-energy, and organized person who thrives in service-oriented and customer-facing situations. The Refurb Technician I is responsible for the refurbishment and repair activities on ice machines. This position works closely with Refurb Technician II’s, III’s, and the Technical Services team. This role is critical in ensuring the optimal functionality of our equipment to meet our customers’ service requirements while operating with proficiency. The ideal candidate will possess a keen attention to detail, a commitment to maintaining equipment in good working order, and a willingness to learn and grow within the field of ice machine repair and maintenance. The Refurb Technician I is dedicated to driving service success that not only enhances customer satisfaction but also maximizes customer retention through reliable and responsive service.

How you will do it:
  • Ensure adequate levels of equipment are ready for quick turnaround and shipping
  • Ensure refurb and repair work is completed to Easy Ice standards and is properly documented
  • Work alongside the Service Delivery team and Logistics team to ensure best workflow
  • Accomplish daily refurb tasks in a timely and efficient manner with an emphasis on quality
  • Ensure warehouse meets standards required by law
  • Responsible for sourcing equipment and making sure adequate supplies are available
  • Maintain cleanliness of vehicle, check fluids, wipers and tires to help maintain service-life

Education: Two years of professional experience in HVAC field, desired

Work Environment and Physical Demands:

  • Stands for extended periods of time (8+ hours per day)
  • While the noise level in the work environment is usually somewhat quiet, the worker may be subject to elevated noise levels
