Job description

$85,000 - $95,000

Springfield, Missouri

The Opportunity

You'll own the ERP environment for a company that's been running the same disciplined operation for over 60 years. This isn't a maintenance role buried in a large IT department — you'll manage Infor LX, IDF, Webtop, and the IBM iSeries/AS400 infrastructure end to end, from system security and job scheduling to SQL-based reporting and third-party system integration.

If you want to be the person who actually understands how the ERP works — not just a ticket-taker — this role gives you that scope.

Why You'll Love This Role

You'll work directly with a hiring manager who has been explicit about his approach: hire people with the right skills, give them the tools to do the job, and get out of the way. He describes himself as collaborative and transparent, involves his team early in decisions that affect them, and holds himself accountable alongside his team. No micromanagement.

You'll also be working across a real, varied technical stack — Infor LX, Crossroads MES, Touchpath WMS, ACT CRM, Compleo document automation, and Help Systems Robot job scheduling — giving you broad exposure rather than narrow, single-system responsibility.

This is a stable, family-owned company with long-tenured employees and a solid industry reputation — the kind of environment where your work has continuity instead of getting reorganized every year.

Your Day-to-Day
  • Administer and support the Infor LX ERP system, including IDF objects, views, subsets, and sorts
  • Write SQL for ad hoc and special reporting, and to extract and validate data
  • Manage user profiles, system security, and authentication across LX, MES, and Touchpath
  • Build and maintain Webtop analytical dashboards and views
  • Create and maintain business forms using Compleo
  • Schedule and monitor Robot jobs (daily, weekly, monthly, annual) and ensure successful completion and report distribution
  • Coordinate with outside technical resources and provide programming specifications
  • Maintain and refresh the software test environment
  • Ensure IBM iSeries data backups complete successfully and restore archived data as needed
  • Support end users on software functionality, training, and support case follow-up
  • Provide off-hours technical support on a scheduled basis
What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related IT field, or 4-5 years of equivalent IT experience
  • Functional knowledge of ERP-LX with the ability to support and maintain user requirements
  • Hands-on experience using SQL to build reports and analyze data
  • Strong communication skills, comfortable explaining technical procedures to both end users and technical consultants
  • Ability to work independently and manage IT service-provider relationships around contracts, services, and licensing
  • Strong critical thinking and troubleshooting skills
  • RPG programming experience is a plus
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or Green Card holder; this role is not eligible for sponsorship
