Job Summary:
Hyundai Motor Company is a leading automotive manufacturer that emphasizes performance, quality, and innovation. They are seeking a Manager for the Hyundai Technical Support System (HTSS) to oversee content management and lead a team of technical writers, ensuring high-quality technical documentation and system enhancements.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข Manages the HTSS (Hyundai Technical Support System) Knowledgebase (KB) System & Content.
โ€ข Manages & leads the HTSS content creation team & Techline Technical Writer(s).
โ€ข Oversees and maintains technical content for HTSS (Hyundai Technical Support System) Knowledgebase (KB).
โ€ข Oversees internal, external and specialized fix-prints, and iWorksheet based Technotes (TNโ€™s).
โ€ข Interfaces with SMEโ€™s & other technical experts in key HMA departments to define and create content.
โ€ข Oversees and helps support with key cutting machine and other special service tool providers to create related content.
โ€ข Supports special service tool providers by providing feedback on HMA needs.
โ€ข Supports Techline and other departments to assure necessary content is provided for the HTSS KB.
โ€ข Identifies and helps confirm related diagnostic process, training and SST improvement opportunities.
โ€ข Supports Techline and HTSS in QSEโ€™s Monthly Quality Report (MQR) meetings.
โ€ข Manage HTSS content creation team and Techline Technical Writers to ensure high-quality technical documentation.
โ€ข Lead definition and requirements for HTSS system enhancements (minor and major) and oversee development with IT, GITA, HAEA, and HMA DBP.
โ€ข Direct HTSS system integration and ensure seamless functionality across platforms.
โ€ข Select and publish high-value articles in TechNet Times (TNT) and Genesis Tech Talk (GTT) with accurate, meaningful content.
โ€ข Develop, maintain, and continuously improve HTSS technical content to enhance technician and Techline efficiency.
โ€ข Analyze diagnostic processes to identify improvement opportunities and reduce unnecessary Techline contact.
โ€ข Identify priority content using reporting tools and data-driven insights.
โ€ข Participate in technical meetings representing HTSS and provide subject matter expertise.
โ€ข Conduct data analysis to identify trends across models, symptoms, and DTCs.
โ€ข Collaborate with PA, QSE, FSE, and Safety teams to ensure accuracy and alignment of published information.
โ€ข Maintain expert knowledge of Hyundai and Genesis vehicles (current and past 10+ years).
โ€ข Update and present MQR content in monthly meetings.
โ€ข Define workflow logic, keyword tagging standards, and content architecture for HTSS materials.
โ€ข Lead publication, updates, and tagging of HTSS content (DTCs, symptoms, etc.).
โ€ข Serve as technical SME for engineering, HMC, and cross-functional teams.
โ€ข Communicate with SST vendors to provide feedback and align on tool requirements.
โ€ข Support special projects and additional departmental responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
Required:
โ€ข Must be a high school graduate.
โ€ข Six or more years of experience in automotive repair & diagnosis.
โ€ข Three or more years of direct supervision of employees or contractors.
โ€ข Experience in Techline OEM โ€“ preferably in Hyundai and/or Genesis role.
โ€ข Familiarization/Experience working with special service tool providers โ€“ preferably w/Hyundai and/or Genesis a plus.
โ€ข Experience with Hyundai HTSS and/or Genesis GTSS Systems (or comparable Technical support system (knowledgebase).
โ€ข Strong familiarization with GDSM diagnostic tool.
โ€ข Expert level technical knowledge related to Hyundai and/or Genesis vehicles, systems, diagnostic tools and processes.
โ€ข Expert level automotive repair skills with strong diagnostic abilities.
โ€ข Logic oriented with strong technical communications skills both written and verbal.
โ€ข Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
โ€ข Strong organizational skills.
โ€ข Excellent time management skills.
โ€ข PC software skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, etc.).
Preferred:
โ€ข Bachelorโ€™s degree a plus.
โ€ข Computer Graphics (esp. 3D) and Adobe PDF document creation experience a plus.
โ€ข Strong data analysis and visualization comprehension, creation capabilities a plus.
โ€ข ASE Certifications a plus.
โ€ข Hyundai Technician Certifications a plus.
