Summary
The Accounting Assistant Manager is responsible for analyzing and validating Revenue and costs of Glovis Port Processing business, and ensuring that all financial results are accurate and in compliance with Sarbanes Oxley, GAAP, and IFRS. In addition, this position will prepare various analyses and reports for C Suites.
Responsibilities
  • Month End Closing, Financial analysis and reporting
    • Assistant Manager is responsible for overseeing the Port Processing business segment for Hyundai Auto Group customers, and 3rd-Party customers
    • Maintain key references to ensure the accuracy of the analysis and report
      • Also develop analysis templates by using visualization tools for P&L analysis for monthly, quarterly, and yearly and comparing with previous financial result
    • Manage the team to ensure completion of the assigned tasks within a due date and explanation of the monthly results
    • Responsible for Month-end reporting tasks and P&L of the Glovis business segment by due date and report to Head of Team
    • Analyze and summarize the month end closing results and interpret the financial results to Head of Team, Controller, and CFO, through various reports and presentations
    • Monitor the current business trends and provide forecast analysis upon request
    • Manage the team to conduct a routine Revenue Recognition test on every audit cycle to meet the guidelines set by Auditors
  • Variance Analysis and System enhancement support
    • Report Post-closing analysis and assigned reports for Financial review meeting
    • Must acquire understanding of Port Processing business and work collaboratively with various departments to provide meaningful analysis
  • Team and Management support
    • Support Head of Team, manage, and guide team including assigning tasks, providing training, overseeing their work and performance
    • Support in Quarterly and Yearly KPMG audit and provide PBC requirements
    • Conduct quarterly and annual SOX audits with ICFR team, providing necessary documentation and explanations
  • Red Folder and Ad Hoc Analysis
    • Review Red Folder Scenario / Contract and provide feasibility analyses
    • Review Glovis US Annual Business Plan
      • Confirming all assumptions made by Operations to Plan
    • Investigate and maintain Balance Sheet accrual balances, and reconcile with revenue and cost
    • Create written and visual explanations for financial presentation using MS Office or visualization tools
  • Support and initiate system enhancement for SAP and operating systems
    • Support to achieve KPI and core projects. Assign tasks within a team to accomplish by due date
    • Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures
    • Document policies, procedures and workflow for assigned areas of responsibility
    • Provide trouble shooting and training as necessary

Compensation Range
$86,000 - $96,000 per year (Subject to Compensation Study Upon Candidate Selection)
