This position is responsible for ensuring reliable, high-quality electrical designs and supporting project execution across a fast-growing, partner-driven business environment.

This role works closely with internal engineering, manufacturing, and project teams, as well as external partners and vendors across the United States, to deliver electrical systems that meet customer expectations, industry standards, and operational requirements. The Senior Electrical Engineer contributes to both design excellence and execution efficiency, supporting projects from concept through commissioning.

This position is well-suited for an experienced electrical engineer with strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment.

Core Responsibilities

  • Design, analyze, and implement electrical systems for data center infrastructure, including power distribution, remote power panels (RPPs), backup power systems, test environments, and monitoring systems
  • Develop and review electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, layouts, and specifications to ensure compliance with customer requirements, industry standards, and best practices
  • Support commissioning and testing of electrical systems, identifying and resolving issues to ensure performance, safety, and reliability
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects on schedule and meet production and customer deadlines
  • Partner with external contractors, vendors, and manufacturing partners to ensure successful project execution and timely delivery
  • Provide technical expertise to troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues during design, construction, and operational phases

Additional Responsibilities

  • Capture design updates and redlines and generate Engineering Change Orders (ECOs)
  • Support product quality by ensuring designs conform to applicable standards and customer expectations
  • Assist in the selection and procurement of electrical components and equipment, balancing performance, cost, and reliability
  • Support multiple concurrent projects across different regions and partner environments
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of engineering processes, documentation, and standards
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
  • 5+ years of experience in electrical engineering, preferably within data center, power distribution, or related infrastructure environments
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD
  • Strong knowledge of applicable standards including UL1062, UL891, and NEC
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation
  • Experience with electrical testing procedures and commissioning support
  • Experience working in contract manufacturing environments
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and collaborate across distributed teams

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license
  • AutoCAD Certification
  • Experience with MRP/ERP systems
  • Familiarity with SolidWorks PDM
  • Experience supporting multi-site or partner-driven project environments

What Success Looks Like

  • Electrical designs are delivered accurately, on time, and aligned with customer and industry standards
  • Strong collaboration across internal teams and external partners leads to smooth project execution
  • Electrical systems perform reliably through testing, commissioning, and deployment
  • Engineering documentation and change management processes are consistent and well-maintained
  • Projects are delivered with minimal rework, high quality, and strong customer satisfaction
