Job description

The Hydronic Sales Manager is responsible for driving the growth, development, and performance of hydronic heating product sales within the front range and western slope Colorado territory. This role combines technical expertise and consultative sales to support customers, influence specifications, and expand market share.
The position requires a strong understanding of hydronic system design, applications, and the regional construction market, along with the ability to build and maintain long-term customer relationships.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide hydronic heating system designs, including material take-offs, piping layouts, and wiring diagrams
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to increase market share and achieve revenue and margin targets
  • Manage, maintain, and grow relationships with mechanical contractors, engineers, builders, and key accounts
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities across residential, commercial, and multi-family markets
  • Deliver technical expertise and consultative support on system design, product selection, and application
  • Review construction plans and specifications to recommend appropriate hydronic solutions
  • Track and manage project opportunities from design phase through project completion
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure accurate quoting, order processing, and timely delivery
  • Conduct jobsite visits to support installations, troubleshoot issues, and strengthen customer relationships
  • Maintain current knowledge of hydronic technologies, industry trends, and applicable Colorado codes and standards
  • Provide product training and technical education to customers and internal personnel
  • Collaborate with manufacturers on product strategy, pricing, and market development initiatives
  • Prepare and maintain sales forecasts, pipeline reports, and territory performance metrics

Supervisory Responsibilities
  • Provide guidance, training, and support to inside sales and outside team members as needed
  • No direct supervisory responsibility unless otherwise assigned

Requirements
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related field preferred; equivalent industry experience considered
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in hydronic, HVAC, or mechanical systems sales

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Strong technical knowledge of hydronic heating systems, including boilers, radiant systems, and controls
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and mechanical drawings
  • Proven consultative sales and relationship management skills
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively
  • Working knowledge of regional market conditions and customer base

Work Environment and Physical Requirements
  • Frequent travel throughout Colorado required
  • Regular visits to construction sites and customer locations
  • Ability to lift and carry product samples and materials (up to approximately 50 lbs occasionally)

Licenses and Certifications
  • Valid driver's license required
  • Industry certifications (e.g., NATE, hydronics training, manufacturer certifications) preferred but not required
