Job description

The Lunt Marymor Company is a well established Plumbing and Hydronic Heating Contractor. The Hydronic Service Technician is responsible for the providing exceptional service for the Lunt Marymor Hydronic Service Department under the direction of the Service Manager and Hydronic Heating Manager. The technician performs the installation, modification, maintenance, and repairs to Hydronic and Plumbing systems. The Hydronic Service Technician is responsible for generating proposals for clients in need of hydronic service or repairs. Friendly demeanor and strong interpersonal skills are a must.

Technical

  • Installs, tests, and troubleshoots Hydronic and Plumbing systems and their components

Sales

  • Produces accurate and detailed Hydronic work orders and estimates
  • Actively sells new and additional service work by analyzing requests and observing Clients’ environments; then educating Client to potential solutions
  • Communicates with clients in a timely fashion regarding diagnosis, scope of work, recommendations, follow-up schedules, and job completion surveys.
  • Communicates with Lunt Marymor clients, team members and vendors in all aspects of the “Circle of Care”

Administration

  • Maintains a high level of organization
  • Displays good judgment and is willing to make decisions
  • Orders required tools and material for projects
  • Interacts with Lunt Marymor Team Members, Clients and Vendors, in person, on the telephone and electronically in a friendly and productive manner
  • Collaborates with Service Manager on a daily “real time” basis to coordinate best use of company resources, including: crew, materials, equipment, vehicles, etc. In the case of conflicting demands on resources, Service Department Manager decision prevails.
  • Reviews email daily and responds to service requests and inquiries promptly
  • Assists Service Manager and Principal in carrying out duties as required
  • Responsible for accurate time and materials reporting as well as other relevant to the activities of the heating department as assigned
  • Other duties as required

Job Requirements

  • Journeyman level knowledge
  • Minimum of five years of experience in the Hydronic heating field with extensive experience in residential and/or commercial fields
  • Strong troubleshooting skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Extensive knowledge of the Uniform Plumbing Code
  • Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
  • Willingness to work after hours and/or weekends –emergencies only-
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50lbs
  • MS Office Suite knowledge and ability to learn industry-related software

Regular work week is M-F, 7:00 am – 3:00 pm. Flexibility of hours required as situations arise.
