Job description

High-End Residential Custom Home Superintendent

We are seeking an experienced, highly organized, and driven Superintendent to oversee high-end custom residential construction projects throughout San Diego County.

This position is for someone who understands the level of detail, communication, scheduling, and craftsmanship required on luxury custom homes. We are looking for a true field leader who can run projects proactively, maintain quality standards, coordinate trades efficiently, and keep projects moving forward without constant oversight.

This is not an entry-level role. We are looking for a seasoned superintendent who takes ownership of their projects and understands how to manage both people and schedules in a high-expectation environment.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day field operations on custom residential projects
  • Manage project schedules and maintain project milestones
  • Coordinate subcontractors, inspections, deliveries, and material procurement
  • Maintain jobsite quality control and enforce workmanship standards
  • Conduct daily site walks and proactively identify issues before they become delays
  • Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with plans/specifications
  • Communicate effectively with project managers, ownership, architects, designers, and clients
  • Maintain clean, organized, and professional jobsites
  • Coordinate and manage inspections through final completion
  • Review drawings and identify conflicts or missing information proactively
  • Track manpower and hold subcontractors accountable to schedule requirements
  • Utilize Procore and other construction management software for documentation and communication

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5+ years experience as a Superintendent on custom luxury residential projects
  • Strong understanding of residential construction means and methods
  • Experience managing high-end finishes and detail-oriented scopes
  • Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and shop drawings
  • Strong scheduling and coordination skills
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities
  • Must be highly organized and proactive
  • Experience with Procore preferred
  • Stable work history and strong references required
  • OSHA knowledge and jobsite safety experience required
